That’s not necessarily true but gaijin did adjust burn time on a lot of missiles (such as R-23/24, R-60, R-27, AIM-54) etc… these missiles have in common a ramp style thrust plot where they take a second or so to peak and then hold peak thrust or taper downwards. Gaijin doesn’t have dynamic thrust plots, so they must shorten burn time slightly and adjust to ensure the total impulse is met and average velocity over burn time is proper to match time to target numbers as well.
One missile that differs and is overperforming is the AIM-7F, likely because they didn’t give it the same treatment.
Yeah I was helping to test for a few other bug reports and I noticed even at 10km mach 1.5 it was struggling to reach past 55km. IDK what its supposed to be but it just didn’t feel right

The R-27ER’s vectors quantities are expanded when launched at a higher speed. Vectors such as acceleration & velocity therefore the ER does reach its top speed at a quicker rate.
This does not mean the missiles magically disregards its aerodynamics & can magically fly Hypersonic.

Its me or that most Soviet weapons are just exaggerated to its performance and most NATO weapons are more conservative to its claimed performance. Also R-27ER doing hypersonic good luck locking at that target as the seeker head will be fried and cant communicate to the receiver aircraft by the ionizing of the air at that speed. Hell even the US have difficulty on the Sprint Anti ballistic missile as that missile flies at hypersonic speeds to intercept a MIRV at reentry phase. Even the Soviet have made R-27ER doing hypersonic it will be expensive as hell.

The R-27ER is a medium ranged missile, the motor does not burn long enough to ever push it hypersonic. Even if it magically could, the missile would still be useless. It cannot maneuver under the immense superheated airflow, nor can it withstand it.
The R-27ER is already not as aerodynamic as the Aim-120. It loses energy because its gigantic rudder span which is only there to shift around its ridiculous size & weight. Not because it’s an upgrade.
