BTW, shouldn’t the Gepards HEFI-T ammunition self-destruct at a programmed range, kinda like AHEAD ammo, too?

In this manual it shows two explosive shells, with and without tracer but with regular impact fuzes.

But there should also be this:

idk its possible ig, no idea tho, it being impact fuze is just as likely to me, also you didnt really link the manual, but i did find some myself too so its fine.

according to this scan it seems like an impact fuze but its not the whole document just a table of contents and some like a few pages.

i believe that is just a standard time delay round, set by the crew when fired, no more useful than ww2 flak, ahead’s fuse is set by the firing computer when it leaves the barrel

That makes no sense. To the point of variable time delay is to have the round explode in the vicinity of the target.
What else are you going to use it for? If you only care about collateral damage, a set self-destruct time is all you need.

It’s the same as AHEAD but using regular explosive shells instead of tungsten sub-projectiles.

no?
ones from 1983, the other is from like 2010

have you seen the computers on the gepard, they cannot auto set the time delay for that round between when it is fired and when it leaves the barrel

According to documentation I have, the Diehl-developed DM41 HE-TF (high explosive time-fuzed) was to be for the Rheinmetall RH503 dual-calibre 35 mm/50 mm cannon.

The DM41 and its 50 mm equivalent, the M-DN 181, were not mean for the Gepard series of anti-aircraft guns.

To quote the text the DM41 was for “ground support, suppression to troops, infantry, missile site, lightly armoured vehicles, and, also, through effectiveness against sensors and optics, suppression of heavily armoured vehicles, and attack helicopters.”

Also, unlike the AHEAD projectiles, the DM41 was programmed in the breech area, not at the muzzle.

The DM41 was designed to burst in front of, or above the target. Though if slightly to side, or for an air target, slightly below, this would be fine.

Seems like it

side note there should be separate lobbies for those who bring in one or two vehicles. It kills over all gameplay entire teams wiped in a matter of 5 mins
