Both the US and Taiwanese Abrams have identical armor. that argument means nothing.
You’re purposely conflating functionality with play-style. the Abrams and Leclers have different ways of loading, different armor, strengths, weaknesses and one has a proxy round.
The only real difference between the US and Taiwanese Abrams is it’s round. Both have nearly identical penetration, but the M829A2 weight 1kg more. Did quick tests and they appear to create nearly identical spalling.
So no, the M1A2T is a copy-paste.

War Thunder is a market-oriented game. If Chinese players begin to question certain absurd rumors about the game, Gaijin will naturally take these concerns seriously and ensure they are properly addressed. Unfortunately, fairness does not exist in a market-driven environment. Moreover, the purchase of Abrams tanks by Chinese players is a mutually agreed transaction between the Chinese and American parties, which has no relevance to the potential inclusion of the VT4 in Japan’s Thai subtree of the tech tree.

Canadian vehicles are assigned to the UK, US, and Germany. For example, the L2A4M(CN) is assigned to Germany. So why isn’t the M1A2T assigned to the US and placed after the M1A1 HC? Think about it, how would you distinguish which vehicle is the friendly Abrams in Simulator Battles?
- 1 Billion If the VT4 or other Chinese vehicles never entered any other country, then it wouldn’t make sense to add any foreign vehicles to China’s tech tree.

Anywho I think the tank should stay but Japan should still be allowed it’s Thai VT-4.
Imo, tech trees and nations as a whole need a rework because this current system just keeps sparking arguments and there’s a constant contest if whether subtree or main nation vehicles fit in a tree slot.
