This is more an issue that M829A3 is currently bugged and does not consistently detonate ammo even when directly striking it (and this goes across all tanks) and almost impossible to detonate when going through fuel tanks first

lowerplate / frontal fuel tanks on Leclerc / Leopard 2k also stop rounds from detonating ammo.

Happened to me when i shot BMPTs internal ammo, but that shouldnt be a suprise

I haven’t had a single problem with BMPT ammo, it’s been the most consistent at blowing up.

This looks more like a bug with post pen damage more than any bias, especially if this is the case.

Lower BRs is fine. The propaganda is in the high tiers. But do you remmember when they posted a picture of only soviet union in the Victory Day? Weird isnt it?
The Relikt only protects 80mm on the side at most, as shown in the screenshots.
So yeah, it’s a server-client issue in this case & I hope it doesn’t occur to Justin in the future, and/or gets fixed.

Seems strange, i have also found M900 to be more effective at blowing up russian tanks from the side than M829A3

Is for a fact that M829A3 is having some sort of unintentional issues, specially with the post-penetration performance. Or when you equip TUSK armor pack suddenly your M829A3 regress to M829A2 and so on. And this issue of penetrators “bouncing” off explosive reactive armor is nothing sort of new. And as @AlvisWisla mentioned you have to consider server issues as well, and in my opinion server connectivity and stability is not the positive points of War Thunder.

Are you sure it’s not just old recycled T-34 Drivers hatches made of Stalininum in a layered array? Sometimes the performance can only be measured in the amount of T-34 hatches it can go through.
