This thread just confirms people are incapable of doing anything other than holding forward and can’t comprehend slowing down
So is it being added?
We wont know untill the update
We’ll find out tomorrow if the Leo 2s are screwed.
If they are moving it to the live they will obviously tune the leopard to be in line with other vehicles.
I really hope it makes it to live
They could have said something… But their communication about regen steering is horrible so far. They released a blog about it during Devblog season so now people are expecting it to release tomorrow with the update.
They basically accepted 2 bug reports about it and that’s it
I think in one of the datamines I saw them adjusting the E100’s inertia and centre of gravity… They had time for that but not to make some changes to regen steering lmao
all the problems from the dev server regen steering were caused by people just not slowing down. user error could cost us this great feature if you dumbos keep complaining about it (directed at those people, not you)
I hope so, I just have very little faith in Gaijin.
“just lose all your speed on purpose to turn bro, definitely better than losing a lot of speed when you mess up your timing on pressing A/D”
Saying all these problems are solely related to this is just pure cope, actually insane how this horrendeous version of the mechanic (literally worse than the make-shift modded version from last year) is praised to such degrees.
I bet if i start sniffing some profiles here i’ll probably end up finding a strong correlation between a lack of understanding on how ground rb even works in the first place and praising this mechanic beyond any comprehensible level.
TO TURN SHARP
YOU WOULD LOSE ALL YOUR SPEED ANYWAY IF YOU COULD TURN THAT SHARP GOING FAST
The thing is, you are likely dead while slowing down to turn tight. While if I turn sharp at high speed I can still make it out alive.
Also the Type 10 could still turn somewhat sharp with RS at high speed.
really proving my point here
if you are consistenly bleeding ALL of your speed during turns, then you are definitely not in any position to call for “user-error” on other people.
question: why do you think in real life every US tank since the pershing has had regen turning? if it’s so inferior why haven’t they gone back?
I thought about adding “inb4 strawman” under my last message but figured its not necessary anymore.
Guess I was wrong.
You can cope all you want but if you arent severely messing up pressing a key for a short amount of time then you are not bleeding all of your speed unless you didnt have any to begin with.
Fully or almost fully stopping to turn is vastly inferior in every relevant way than bleeding speed while turning in a drastically shorter time while not becoming a sitting duck given you dont mess up severly.
DEV server custom-battles’ lack of combat (same goes for the regular mode where its a 4v4 at best) really misrepresented how ““good”” the system would be in actual battles.
Good luck ever leaving your spawn with 5 or more teammates in it on like half the maps btw.
Literal guaranteed 2 minute traffic-jam (and thats just one example nobody seems to have considered while doing their driving-sim on dev)
I think it was a test for the next one. Not this mornings
And all of you are drastically misrepresenting potential issues
This is already an issue with bottlenecked spawns with skid steering rather than regen.
The only negative is that people can’t snap 180 for faster turret turning in some vehicles. As if such a turn shouldn’t flip the damn tank over.
Keeping mobile is good for not getting shot. It’s literally why wheeled vehicles do so well most of the time. We don’t pretend that they can’t play urban maps when their turning circles will still be worse now do we?
It won’t cost you the feature, I’ll just play the tanks that don’t have botched RS like the Leo 2s and farm those that do have the botched implementation as easy kills.
Leos are about to become some of the most free kills of top tier.
you know what’s funny is every modern tank has it, they only implemented it onto the leopards first to test it with known data. abrams, leclerc, even russian MBTs to some extent have a form of it in real life. this just shows you know nothing about the mechanic.
