Regarding the Implementation of the Bismarck-class

I mean if nothing else they could do that WoWs thing where they’re like “Tirpitz (1941)” and “Tirpitz (1944)” or something but that would mean they’d have to stop doing that “one version of any given ship” thing

Didn’t stop Gaijin from doing exactly that with Z-47. But even without imaginery refits the German BBs will be fine unless they face jets guided weaponry.

my main point was absurdity of the idea that best, imaginery refit of BB being is gonna be an event reward.

It is not an official name of Russian Navy. It is an name called by GB and US, which are not a nation that use it. Imperial Russian and Soviet Navy’s official name was always Sevastopol class.

I see Gangut more often in naval literature than Sevastapol but I do see both. I just call them Gangut since that’s just how I know them as

Why are you getting so offended? :D
And like you said Ho-Ri was seen best solution to problem that wasn’t really there but Gaijin wanted to add Ho-Ri prototype to sell at least one decent prem even if it was never build.

Its not far stretch to see Gaijin making “What if” version of ship that was never build to be event vehicle if they ever plan going for bigger ships.

how am I getting offended lol

it is a far stretch for best vehicle in a line of development to be added as event reward

People calling Gangut class makes me headache…

But well, I’ll try to focus on topic. Imo Tirpitz will be tech tree as german tree doesn’t have much choice for future Rank VII tech tree. Right tree, Schlachtkreuzer tree doesn’t have other choice but only O-klasse(even if Gaijin implement it as they finally implement paper-plan with unique compartment). So it makes left tree, or Schlachtschiff tree need two ships. And we have choice of Bismarck and Tirpitz only.

hi i know im late but later on you could add 16 inch gun bismarck i thinks its name was h41 i dont rember of the top of my head it will probably be added with yamato and iowa for balance reasons they did it for russia with the kronsdhat

H-41 is totally own project and different ship. I think H-41 all the stupid later variants were meant to mount bored out 406mm guns to 420mm.
H-39 already mounted 4x2 406inch guns, but was +10.000t heavier.
I’m sure we will see H-39s in future because they were laid down.

Not all ‘laid down’ ships implemented in-game, especially when two sister ship has no difference in design at all.

But well, H class could be in two afaik there are two version of hull for H class, small one(what we usually known of) and larger one(what WOWs use as Friedrich der Große)

Yep, we’ll definitely see both H and J added.

I’m not well versed with WOWS ships, but isn’t Friedrich der Große meant to be H-39? Of course it has access to also 42cm guns of H-41. H-39 I would say is 100% going to be added, but later H-41 not likely how little info there is about it. Main things being caliber change(Possible), better armor and then probably better engine to compensate that armor.

I really hope that people don’t start asking for paper ships that other game has. And how WT naval is at the moment I don’t even see Bismarck being that much worse then Yamato and Iowa. It has better armor for ranges where we fight at the moment. It has best reload out these ships and short distance like in WT penetration is more then enough. Of course it has slight weakness that it can only bring 4 guns to bear when not broadside.

It’s bigger than the real H-class that laid down in 1939. Seems they use reference as this one

not implying there better im saying there equal enough and if its really that big of a deal implemnet colorado class and it should be fine

I ask that you please do a significant amount of serious reading on the subject if you honestly believe a Colorado class will be a counter.

i mean compared to what scarnhorst is like in game i see no problem 15 inch guns 12.6 inches thick armor belt very good optical trackers. Hms rodneys guns are 16inch she has 14 inches of belt armor yeah they are pretty buggy right now but as soon as gaijin works out kinks i see no problem plus there adding the richileu this year which is just as strong

The Colorados are the worst of the early 16” ships by a fair margin. Mutsu is the best by a fairly large margin and is barely a Scharnhorst equivalent in the current damage model. Bismarck is an upgrade over Scharnhorst in about every way that matters in game, Colorado isn’t remotely in the same league.
