In this game we have some vehicles that have faster reloadence speed while it have shells in the first round ammunition rack. I’ve chose 3 tanks with that mechanic and marked the time of reloading:
- Chi-Ri II (basic crew | reloading skill 5\5 | leadership skill 4\5): reloading speed with empty first stage ammunition rack is 11.5 seconds | refill of first stage ammunition rack is 17.0 seconds;
- Challenger mk.2 (expert crew | reloading skill 8\8 | leadership skill 8\8): reloading speed with empty first stage ammunition rack is 7.0 seconds | refill of first stage ammunition rack is 20.5 seconds;
- Strv m\42 DT (basic crew | reloading skill 4\5 | leadership skill 4\5): reloading speed with empty first stage ammunition rack is 10.5 seconds | refill of first stage ammunition rack is 17.0 seconds;
The first question, why refilling of first stage is longer then reloading when first round ammo rack is empty? That’s means that the guy in the tank puts shells near the cannon longer than when he puts it into the cannon, why? That’s not making any sense. And what is funny, refilling the ammo on the points faster then refilling it by the crew!
The second question, why reloading speed is that long with empty first round ammo rack? Like example, Chi-Ri canon is one of modifications of Type II cannon wich had on Chi-To and Chi-Nu II. Chi-Ri’s reloading speed is 11.5, but Chi-Nu II’s reloading speed is 7.5 in the same crew. That almost the same cannons but reloading speed is very different, why?
In the Chi-Ri’s case, both situations looks especialy odd, because it have ammo racks right behind the cannon.
But all of that tanks have ability to reload the cannon with empty first round ammo rack, but we have in the game many vehicles that have the automatic reloader that not allow reload the cannon in that case. Like example Somua SM have only 8 shells in the drum, but refilling of only 1 shell takes the 23 second. That means that to restore all shells in the drum you’ll need to wait almost 3 minutes of the real time, that is too long in the battle.
I think that gaijin must reconsider reloading time with empty first round ammo rack on some vehicles (makes it more closer to analogue cannons) and reduce refilling time of first round ammo rack on all tanks to level of reloading speed without it (or level of reloading speed of analogue cannons, when vehicle without that ability).
