Once again, you can’t nerf a non overperforming vehicle and not adjust its BR to compensate. Needing Russian ERA in that manner will severely harm them, and would force them down in BR.

BVM is 0 rounds at 4.5 seconds, 0 rounds at 6 seconds, then all rounds at 6.5 seconds
Also love the consistency of Brit mains thinking that mantlet and turret roof are only weakness on British tanks and not every dam MBT lol

Unfortunately, realism comes second in war thunder. Snails wills that Russia be a threat at top tier, so anti-era tips aren’t modelled. Regardless, their effectiveness against the newest heavy ERA like Relikt and FY-5 are questionable, so you wouldn’t be able to gut BVMs or 90Ms anyways. All it would do is serve to force Tanks like the 80U series and the 72B3 down into lower BRs.
That’s just incorrect. The massive mantlet on the CR2 and Leclerc means that the BVMs are quite a bit better at long range combat. War Thunder hills are rarely steep enough to afford a noticeable advantage to the CR2 or LC without forcing them to expose their squishy hulls, as well. It’s really a goldilocks situation where the CR2s and LeClercs get to out-duel a BVM or T-90M in WT.

Yes, they should. They have no business being top tier in their current state.
If they aren’t good enough for their current BRs, and wouldn’t be too good at a lower BR, why wouldn’t they go down, or get some buff to compensate.

Its simply not realistic, even in game terms, that a dm53 gets stopped by era. Even the pen doesnt work with it, most of the time. Yeah if you hit sideways you could be lucky, but most of the time it gets stuck and just destroyes the era, thats it. This is not even close to realism, i mean sorry this is a game that is based on real vehicles and physics. Yeah game balance is a thing, but this is not even balanced, its just unfair. Nerf it and redo BRs if its needed, 30% reducing pen would be realistic, even 50% would be fine and more balanced.

Oh, excuse me but I did check hell I even own and play Abrams Leopard 2 and Challenger 2 myself unlike you with only top tier German Leopard and still not doing so well with it but sht I can say that even most sane German main around here wouldn’t have say that Their Leo has less protection than Challenger 2
