Don’t worry. Almost no computers run Raytracing well when it’s actually in depth, and even when they do, it’s RARELY worth the performance hit or other compromises.
And from there… It’s not really… that important? Especially in a game with so much movement speed (at least in planes) and hyperfocus on tiny things in the distance.
Realistically this game is played by most people with most graphics settings cranked down, especially in ground lol. Don’t need wild shadows/glare/grass blocking your view.
DW, few if any computers will be running fully raytraced high res war thunder with native resolution.
Even when they can, it will be more comfortable for most players to turn it off anyway to prevent stuttering or frame drops / keep the average framerate higher.
It’ll be used for screenshots or cinematics, but high res native gameplay, no.
Partial or nerfed rt may be playable. Depends also on your specific specs, and if they actually optimize for your card.
ray tracing ultra and DLSS or SSAA x4 TAA? i get 100 and more in Air battle , with tank depends on map also at 40 fps with ultra and ssaa x 4 , i have 4080 super on 2 K
MAN I BOUGHT A RTX 4070 TWO MONTHS AGO AND ALREADY YOUR GIVING IT A RUN FOR IT’S MONEY, Grhhhhh and it isn’t like there SLI to make my Old GTX1650ti as a “support” card
Thanks for sharing these results! I’m currently playing on 7680x2160 widescreen, if the performance loss remains comparable RT probably won’t be an option without upscaling. But FSR quality might be acceptable, and I could always ease of the other settings a bit
My problem with Ray Tracing right now is that, for some reason, it often freezes the entire game for 25-30 seconds at random.
With upscaling, I theorically would be able to run it at 90-ish FPS, and 80-ish without it. I would be willing to sacrifice 100 FPS.ñ for Ray Tracing; but the random mid-game 30 second freezes make me unable to.
