Hello,i am a big fan of cursed vehicles.I love to make suggestions but usually they are rejected due to lack of info.
I am trying to get info about these vehicles:
VAMTAC con L-HIT
VAMTAC mistral/ATLAS RC
LVTH-6 (i need info about the 105mm howitzer M49 ON t-149 turret)
Supecat SAM ASRAAM
Pandur ITAS and crossbow
MRZR with TOW that one is on the list of to do of @Thatz
I see a lot of pushback from players on weird vehicles because “it will turn war thunder into world of tanks” and the devs seem to not add a lot of requested vehicles until they have been begged for by us for years. would be cool to see. the more cursed and funny vehicles the better in my opinion
ASRAAM, whether it was on an SPAA or on planes would be amazing to see, it was the step between AIM 9 to AIM 120 and it would help out planes like the harrier GR7, which I’ve been spading recently, its great fun with 9Ms but feels quite under armed when its at the same BR as the Tomcat and early MIG 29.
It would also act as a decent starter missile for when Fa18 (the Australian ones have ASRAAM) and typhoon (UK) get added as well as helping out the tornado (if they decide to add the GR4) would really help out the underperforming top tier planes and give a better SPAA option to NATO
I can help out a bit with that one as I’ve been meaning to go through my lists and suggest things but I’ve just been completely out of motivation to make suggestions myself and many of the suggestions I was working on hit dead ends with research.
MRZR D4 (TOW)
On May 31st 2023 members of Canadian Army’s 3rd Battalion, The Royal Canadian Regiment were able to display the functionality and usability of the arming Polaris MZRZ’s during Exercise Lethal Weapons. The Canadian Army started to explore this avenue of military operations and the impact that light off-road vehicles could play on potential future conflicts after observing the use of similar vehicles being used in the Ukraine conflict.
For this exercise the 3rd RCR mounted different armament on different vehicles, one was armed with an M.2. Machine gun (.50 cal), another was armed with a C16 (40mm Heckler & Koch GMG), and 2 were armed with TOW launchers.
The specific TOW launcher(s) used are not specifically known, but it is assumed that they are modern TOW systems with Day and Night optics with a forward-looking infrared sensor.
When reviewing a video that was posted to the CF (Canadian Forces) Combat Camera on Facebook. (Video Link) (at 0:38)
One of the vehicles with a TOW was firing a missile and on the missile holder from what can be seen in the video as “…E-4B-RF” which after some googling looks to be most likely the BGM-71E-4B-RF TOW 2A.
Work on these vehicles and studying them by the 3rd RCR began in November 2022 according to a post by the 2nd Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group (Facebook Post)
It is unknown at this time if the Canadian Army will continue to look into arming light off-road vehicles however in July 2024 GM Canada was awarded a contract to supply the Canadian Army with 90 light tactical vehicles (LTVs). With the ability to procure more additional if needed. These vehicles are aimed to be used in the NATO Enhanced Forward Presence Multinational Battlegroup in Latvia. Which is probably not related but shows that the Canadian Army is interested in exploring the use cases of light utility vehicles. Feel free to use some of this if it might help with the suggestion but MAKE SURE to put it into your own words and please feel free do further research into it using the sources I provided or any of the other sources found online. As I’m sure there is information I am missing or that I have wrong. I’m just going off what I can find online via articles, videos etc.
