If its not subtree, captured vehicle, export variant of vehicle for country that is not in the game nor it will likely be added (such as F-14A IRIAF), or unique case like it was with Merkavas, bare minimum seems to be that country at least considered to adopt the vehicle for its armed forces (such is the case with swedish T80U).
just “helping to develop” a vehicle that was never considered for adoption by US armed forces doesnt seem like strong enough link for such vehicle addition.
on top of that, US has enough domestic vehicles and prototypes that will remain unique to the US TT.
Typically because the USA has a domestic option to fill in the niche (although there probably are some vehicle variants unique to the USA).
Again, the USA and USSR made more type of vehicles in larger quantities not just to meet their own demands (which during ww2 and the cold war ment many requirements had to be made due to the wide theatre range) but also to supply allies who either couldn’t develop their own vehicles or couldn’t develop enough of them. It also doesn’t help how almost all trees are allied to the USA (Reaching cold war, every country that is a tree barring Sweden and the USSR where aligned to the USA (I’m counting China due to the Taiwanese subtree which is quite prevelent).
That’s just how it is in the real world however two things can be true at the same time. Gaijin is being lazy when it comes to the American tree, specifically it’s air tree. There are variants, add-on systems, weapon systems that could make playing US unique and interesting.
Instead what we get is still great planes but if you really want to play the best american, go play Israel though it is only slightly better.
Probably this next year, China will get the Abrams, Apache, Viper (modern variants) and whenever stealth aircrafts come into the game, I won’t be surprised if russia gets the F-35.
Ive seen 2 documents for their purchase but ive never seen them mounted, its a similar problem as a few other nations from what ive seen when bug reporting certain missiles. It doesn’t seem gaijin cares as ive bug reported for missiles like Aim 9L to be removed. Honestly id be more interested in what gaijins actual criteria is for removing missiles for vehicles. I assume its just a balancing thing. I mean i figure the F-18C will stay 14.0 and when Aim 9X is added the MLU 2 will move up and be given AIM 9X
Would just get 9M as a tier 1 and have the missing RP from the tier 3 mod equally dispersed to the rest of the tier 3 mods. All other hornets get 4 missiles, well now with C5. Finnish Hornets are the only hornets lacking AIM 7P, not really the most strange thing to me to just remove the 9L and put 9M there. Just means you get access to usable missiles faster than you would with having to grind 9L.
Id take getting 9M’s sooner rather than grinding 9L’s as a tier 1 then waiting until tier 3 to get 9M’s AIM 120B could either move from tier 4 to three with C5 taking its place at tier 4 or just staying where they are at now. Regardless having access to a far better missile sooner is better than having to wait till tier 3 for it.
You’re essentially using 9M’s for most of your time grinding Finnish hornets as your only other missiles is Fox 3 locked at tier 4.
