With the J-15 and in the future the Mig-35 (32 CMs only…) not even that is going to help them be playable, we need some sort of EW mechanic, honestly i dont even care if it’s a quick time event lol, but 48 CMs is awful at 13.0 let alone top tier

Stock no chaff should only apply in BRs where you face SARH missiles (like mirages or mig21). Against ARH missiles everyone should get chaff.

@Smin1080p_WT are the devs even looking at this? Lets not pretend like this hasnt been a want and need for 2 years now… “make a suggestion” when most suggestions are deleted without any cause isnt valid at this point.

As a ground player, modifications in general need a rework. It’s bad game design to completely lock away basic mechanics that are integral to gameplay behind a lengthy progression system, which you have to go through over and over again for each new vehicle at increasingly higher costs. It’s not fun or rewarding.
The devs don’t necessarily even need to make the module grind shorter. We just need is to be able to use chaff, repair, etc. or any features literally built into our vehicles (ie: thermals) as stock, just at a reduced effectiveness until the modification for it is unlocked. We got this already for FPE in ground, just apply the same logic to other similar modifications. Grinding would instantly become way less frustrating without noticeably shortening progression.

Chaff should come stock for all ranks. It is not comparable to smoke in ground, as some people argue. Essentially, you’re forbidden from properly engaging people. A truer comparison would be a modification for tanks where certain parts of the map were exclusion zones, and the game wouldn’t let you engage anyone by looking directly at them, unless you’re suicidal, which is actually the fastest way to research chaff and missiles at this current stage of top tier.
I have a feeling this would not happen in this update even with everyone voting yes :(

Yes and no, below 11.0 it’s more than easy to avoid SARH by simply hiding in ground clutter. I’d rarely ever actually equip chaff on anything below 11.0.
It’s not really till you start talking about 12.0+ where it goes from useful to required and even then, the stock grind for it isn’t too bad until you enter the heart of fox3 territory, didn’t really struggle to unlock it until the latest AESA typhoon due to normal tactics not working anymore because of the massive increase in situational awareness.
So rank IX 100% needed.
Rank VIII, would definetly make it a lot easier.
But rank VII… It doesn’t matter as you probably won’t be equipping much chaff anyway

Imagine a country deploying a 4.5 gen fighter of any sort without chaff as an option 😂 (or ECM, but that isn’t in the game yet)
