Will premium vehicles of the seventh rank purchased before these changes were announced still have this option? When paying for these vehicles, there was no information that their key properties had an expiration date ;)…

They can swap it around. Put the F-14A in 12.3 and the F-18A in 12.7. I am very sure the F-18 even have an better radar then the F-14

you do realize that Rank 8 premium aircraft can research rank 9 right ? it’s always +1 rank when it comes to research
It might take longer to get to top tier now. I have a feeling when rank 9 comes, we are going to have to research at least 5 vehicles in rank 8 to access rank 9. Making you just want to buy an rank 9 aircraft which also grinds faster than a rank 8 aircraft.

@Stona_WT will the current vehicles that unlock the new vehicle bonus stay the same or will they only be the rank 9 vehicles?
What about them? No one forced you to buy premium vehicles with the intention of skipping the entire tech-tree. They will still be there and playable for you to use just to use them. People spending on premium vehicles should never get in the way of new ranks or BRs being added to the game.

You say that like adding new ranks isn’t purely about money and the justification to add even more expensive premiums, while making previous toptier premiums (which some haven’t been in the game longer than few months) basically worthless, so players will buy the new toys.

Not sure what sabre ure talking about but i used the waybackmachine to create this small table of RP cost, so far i can tell noone is right, were both wrong… its not at the same RP or less RP, it actually got increased RP cost xD
and F-2 had 380k RP till it got reduced 2022 to 180k, and then after the reviewbomb to 135k. So in that case yes, after not being the highest BR plane ingame anymore they cut the RP cost in half. But these days they dont do that anymore like they did back then. Since the reviewbomb they have not reduced any RP of anything, even the F-2 still sits at 135k.
Just look at smt more recent like the F16A, it was introduced with RP cost 400k and is still costing 400k.

Whilst this thread is active, do you mind asking what the plan is for Rank VII aircraft stock loadouts?
Tornado ADVs for example had/has 2x 9Ls and 2x Skyflash DFs stock because they were Rank VIII aircraft, they are now rank VII and no rank VII aircraft gets SARH stock (such as the Phantoms with 2x Aim-9D stock)
Will ADVs be loosing their SARH stock? or will all Rank VII aircraft get SARH stock? This stock grind is a significant reason these are often skipped by players these days with the extreme compression

Right now rank IX is pointless imho. As we all know matchmaking works with br’s and doesn’t take into account rank.
Rank IX should be exclusive of future 5th Gen fighters (if and when they’ll eventually come).
It’s a fact, adding now rank IX will make the grind even worse for sure.
We don’t need more ranks, we need more decompression and historical loadout for those planes still not having it (and this could be done without event touching the br of such vehicles). This way we’ll have more balance, more fun,. Queue time issue? I dont’ think so, but just in case… smaller lobbies, not by much btw.

am i the only one who think that making rank 9 and adding more br(14.7) dont do shit cuz all what under 14.3 didnt change br so the dicopresion happning only on top tier and not on other brs???
