Range finder on China type reticle not working

I have the reticle set to China type triangle/ring. When rangefinding a target(or let’s say a spot), the first attempt always displays “0” instead of the correct distance. It takes 2–3 attempts on the same spot for the rangefinder to display the correct distance value.
