The US gave Canada the license to build and modify M4 Shermans in Canada, is that not a close enough relationship to justify Canadian vehicles in the US tree?

And Canada also produced multiple British vehicles under license. I’m pretty sure the UK would have slightly more room and splitting a countries vehicles across multiple nations would make it harder to fit, hence why the UK is the preferred fit to add as many Canadian vehicles outside of a new tree.

Also in regards to the Skink, it was rejected by the USA.

Yeah but the vehicles you want consists of: Sherman, Sherman, Sherman, another Sherman, Sherman and Sherman. Canada has Leopards so Germany clearly has a claim and they have a significant amount of Valentines and Cromwells and Churchills along with Spitfires, Hurricanes, Lancasters, Mosquitoes and the Sea Fury.

American tech: Sherman, Sabre, Hornet, Tiger, Starfighter
Germany has Switzerland so you could make the argument for the LAV’s and they have all of the Leopards.
Britain gave them Centurions before the C1 and they also got a load of jets.

Iirc you could also add the Vampire and Lysander as well

Yeah so it shouldn’t be a big deal that the US tree got the skink

It kinda is when the USA didn’t even want the Skink in the first place.

Then got another variant of said rejected vehicle via premium pack

So it shouldn’t be a big deal that the US got a vehicle it outright rejected before testing began?

The US didn’t test it or otherwise operate it; only the UK and Canada did. Heck with the Skink, as built, the only relation is that the Sherman was a US design, ex. next to nothing. It should have the Skink in the first place, as it had nothing to do with it, along with not wanting it.

Then said premium vehicle has American markings and still is under a Canadian flag. Like I can understand the M4A5 because they tested one but not the Ram II they have in game.

Who needs the Skink when you have the USAAF and Bofors.

Its not a US skink, its a Canadian skink in the US tree

Its not operated by the US in game, its a Canadian vehicle still

That doesn’t make it belong in the US tree anymore. Considering the Canada that would allow it to exist in the US tree doesn’t exist as they never severed with the US in that way.

As the Canadian forces only marched with the UK and Commonwealth forces. Not the US, and not in a way that they should have even one Skink, much less two.

It stopped being a real Canadian vehicle the moment it was placed in the US tree, with disregard for its history and everything that made it a real vehicle.

US troops and Canadian troops might not have fought side by side in large numbers but the economic relationship of the 2 countries at the time is undeniable

Economic relations isn’t even a factor in war thunder so that’s a very cheap reason, but the Canadians has fought more side by side with the British than the US especially at the time the RAM I was a thing

There are many different factors used to determine which tech trees get which vehicles, the US and Canada were close allies in WW2 and are geographically close. They have more in common than Thailand and Japan, there is a case to be made for both the US and Great Britain so it makes sense that both get access to the skink and Ram II
