Raise the roof on Contrails above the current 5.5k/m

After a reading a article in a military magazine they were discussing at what altitudes contrails form and why fighter jets don’t always get them. With the current roof in game of 5.5k/m not only is not realistic but it also hinders a lot of potential in using the ability of not drawing a massive arrow on yourself and give away your position. Above the BR of 10.0 it’s super easy in evading missiles, having a more realistic roof for contrails considering that so many factors changed for the better in the performance of some aircraft that were over performing would improve the feel of the game.A quick search will show that contrails form above 7.5k/meters, some other articles states it’s much higher, also it’s presence relies heavily on perfect conditions such as ; humidity and temperature. By making this change we can use the potential of climbing higher, flying faster and using the radar’s more. In the current state the game feels repetitive and average as we are confined in a tight space, it feels engineered to put everyone in a fur ball

That already matters in WT.

Some maps like Sinai or Spain have them appear around the 6km mark, while winter maps have them well below 5km.

Gaijin just needs to make them not appear as low all around, for the reasons you listed.

Because it is designed to do that.

I agree
It’s great that it matters but it should be raised to a more realistic altitude

This topic pops up every few months, use forum search about it; the topic was discussed from every possible angle.

It boils down that gaijin is unable or unwilling to correct contrail altitudes even as they “accepted” a bug report in 2023:

Yeah, Contrails need an overhaul, been some really good posts on this in the past

Whilst I agree with fighters, and the inability to “hide” at higher alts, which is especially advantageous for defeating Multipathers. It also heavily affects those using alt for defence/stealth, like heavy bombers
