MICA seeker performs like how all ARH seekers should.
It shouldn’t be so effortless to decoy an ARH missile; players should learn to respect the NEZ and understand how to defeat the missile properly by evading the search volume of a missile (don’t be in the same place as the missile thinks you will be) or by kinematically defeating them.
A problem that is manufactured by the stubborn devs, not the missile or carrier. They refuse to make long distance ARH viable, so close range is the only functional tactic that heavily favors MICA with huge acceleration.

However, this is a game, and we should have balance. The MICA then receives a realistic seeker with a FOV of 7, making it incredibly strong. So, if we give a realistic seeker to everyone, the R77-1 and the AIM-120C5 would dominate the Rafale at any point in the game, whether in BVR or close combat.
If even a professional player, one of the best in this game the Bad Karma considers the advantage Rafale receives stupid, who am I to disagree with him? It would have been better for MICA to have its normal range and not have a better seeker to guarantee balance, which is not what we are seeing here.

I agree completely. It would be much healthier for the game if things were like that. But we can only pick up the pieces from the devs mistakes, not prevent them. So the only ways forward I see are either buffing long range missile seekers or nerfing MICA (a mix of both would probably be the fairest, slight buffs to others and slight nerfs to MICA) to allow for other aircraft with weapons designed for distance to shine.
Unfortunately for MICA range, it seems the devs or the game engine are just incapable of modeling the weapon correctly enough to actually perform well beyond ~15 to 20km.

as many others said, the current MICA is still a nerfed missile, not on par with IRL performances.
the seeker have been modified to match Historical Bug reports,… they can’t nerf the Seeker based on nothing,…
it lacks kinematics, as demonstrated by @DirectSupport reports,… but as the demonstration is based on VL-MICA charts, the bug-report was closed,…

Nerf mica or buff the rest. Dont care which. One missile shouldnt be this much better.

Nah, Rafale has been Flavour Of The Year. Delete MICA add Meteors and Aim-120Ds to everyone else :P

After 600 games of EF and now using a working raf with full loadout (2 missiles while spade and then radar broke as soon as i got 8 mica unlocked)
Its not even close. The Alpha testing radar is so bad on the EF, like one of the worst iv used in any jet.
Around 75% win percentage in raf is a joke, alot of games while broken radar aswell and still so high . If EF is 14.3 the Raf is 15.0 or more. Didn’t realise it was this OP

lol with how accurate the educated guess list(leak list) has been you might be right PL15 and such.
If they actually modeled Aim-120A/B right, let alone C5s. I would not want any new BVR missiles. C5s would be good enough (though not the equal to a PL-15 from what little I know)
But given they either cant or wont… Meteors are looking rather good at the moment

Wow, yeah, that’s a lot of balance. Look how Mica just looks at the chaff and thinks “fuck it,” but an AIM120 or R77-1 just becomes a piece of trash with some chaff. It’s a good thing this thing is balanced according to some, imagine if it wasn’t?

Yeah that’s the better angle gating. The notch area is the same but MICA needs you to be faster and a greater change of direction to defeat the angle gating

Still no clue why the MICA is the only missile that is allowed to have the improved seeker despite bug reports being excepted for other missiles like the AIM-120…

and maybe because Devs don’t really care,…
i mean, it took me 3 years to get a Radar and CCIP/CCRP on-board Etendard IVM, using primary sources,… so it might be depending on the internal Gaijin process (unless the process is that any Devs choose on what he’s working on,…)
