It’s 2008 Nellis, Red Air😆

Doesnt explicitly state this was their first time attending Red Flag but Mike Suttons book could be read to imply the Typhoon first attended in 2015 (The RAF at least)

I have already went down this rabbit hole.
All of the articles that reference Gripens fantastic Red Flag performance all link back to Stefan Eungland Quora post that is written a decade after the fact by someone who was not there. It is fanfiction that was then picked up by a bunch of clickbait defense news outlets as a legitimate story, and then Saab-India marketing guy eventually reposted one of the clickbait articles.
Simply put, the Gripen’s results in dissimilar air combat that you find online are largely made up and usually end up directing back to Quora post.
I dont think the 10 jets claim is wrong.
Just the story has been pumped to the point its impossible to prove as searches all say the same (possibly wrong) info

What version of Rafale/MICA are you playing that every aspect of what makes the plane good either “isn’t that good” or has never happened to you.
He’s not saying it’s impossible to beat it, he’s saying in a very sterile environment with no mistakes, the Gripen is beaten by the F-2 and EFT (Rafale is now below the Gripen according to willie, that’s a list before the nerfs.)

Yes France winrate in 14.3 is 64% perfectly balanced, only 5% higher than the second highest winrate. Shows frags per spawn as a comparison doesn’t show any other vehicle in the same BR range And let’s not forget 8 missiles “avarage” no plane with 8 or more Fox-3 can pull similar performances as the rafale, the ef is the closest but it’s still lacking. It has AESA radar with wide angle, most other planes are mechanical or pesa with smaller search angles. Arguing with you is like the YT commenters glazing it and saying “ooh it should be buffed irl the mica can reach the moon and come back”. Even you listed every category as top 5 min and when u put all of those together you can see the rafale is the best by a mile.
