Rafale rage

The FnF seeker is entirely ARH.

We tried and failed to argue for a placeholder IIR seeker for them. But apparently they dont ever add anything that is ahistorically modeled…

Looks at BOL

This isn’t only an Air RB problem.

This is good video explaining the situation in Sim. And it’s not by me.

Big 3 mains when a minor nation finally gets something competitive

Rafale was introduced too early. This patch should have been for EF2000 exclusively, leaving France out. Even today Rafale is just too op with Micas, Aesa radar (lol), its unnerfed FM (turns like a Zero) and Hammers to torment GRB players.

Why? Just why?

i found the loophole: Tanks Smokes could be used as Chaffs dispenser,… already done in many systems such as MUSS by Hensoldt in germany, Galix AOS from lacroix-defense, or SAAB in sweden.

we could give those Smokes an EM/RF defensive abilities.

in-game Smokes works for around 20 seconds, but chaffs are far more heavier, and drops much faster: we could expect to use smokescreen for a 7 to 10 seconds protection against ARH seekers. (and still 20seconds for IR seekers).

let’s add a an ability for SPAAM to defend an area around them by ECM, or massive radar emission (like 300m radius, forcing them to move up if willing to defend tanks from Air support)

like this, peoples in Ground battle could defend themselves
Brimstone become ARH or Laser (no change in flight, like AASM)
Ground target are somehow protected if people works together
to hit protected people Brimstone would require to be guided by Laser.

→ “job done”

Yep. Tried that argument. Didnt work

Would be fine if the Rafale was more distributed, like the typhoon, however it’s only in a single nation and as a result only benefits said nation, japan (or italy) could really benefit from export rafales and they would diversify the playerbase for the airframe, plus it needs more realistic FM modelling and an investigation into the validity of 8x MICAs on the F3 model, since that opens the gates for more advancements for the Eurofighter that we aren’t seeing

this Rafale variant was introduced too early,…

M F.1
or C F.2.2

would have been good enough.

because they have to work,… we all know how Gaijin is reluctant to work on some systems because this would mean to workaround every systems in the world.

but i can’t help better than that,… i gave Brimstone possibilties for a FnF launch system, and possible decoys for Ground battle (or we can get a dooble standard → no FnF in Ground battle)

Would not. Let’s keep it exclusive.

I disagree, the issue is that they added far too new of a Rafale for the game, we should’ve seen a far earlier model, one with PESA and reduced MICA count, alongside the removal of the innacurate HMS.

In effect the Rafale is game reflects a model from 2019, while the typhoon is 2008-2010 iirc, this can be ammended by reverting the rafale to it’s own 2010s standard

So you have no issue with it overperforming, but draw the line at export versions, very telling of the priorities of french mains here 😆

In terms of A2A fit. Its from 1990s/early 2000s

In terms of A2G fit its about 2008 if you exclude the Brimstones as it never fitted Brimstone 1s

But ignoring loadout. and focusing on the airframe itself. its weaker than the 1990s prototypes

Yes.

I don’t even play it that much. Also don’t main France.

Well I posed the export proposition as a trap to see where Rafale players would defend it’s ‘exclusivity’ as a means to keep exploiting an overperforming aircraft, you took said bait and proved my point

But I don’t exploit it? I honestly don’t care about it that much. I just want to see something good in minor nations. Whether that’s Rafale now or the J-10A last year it doesn’t matter to me. As long as big 3 doesn’t get it.

Give it to Japan

2000 - in late december 2000, with Rafale M F.1 in Marine Nationale (for serviced MICA EM on board Rafale, those missiles were given to the Mirage 2000-5F in 1996)

and what reason will it be? a Rafale CJ? alike the F-16AJ?

the Indonesian/Serbian ones? are still not in service.
the Croatian/Greek/Qatar/UAE ones? which reason for it, to be accomodated with Japan - a faraway country.

See, currently no other country than Egypt and India are in the game.
Egypt is given to Russia TT (Su-22M3)
Indian is given to UK TT (MiG-21 Bison)

@I_MiikaL_I can speak of spreading Rafale, but no one in game have any rights onto those Rafales,…
Giving to Russia, per Egypt lend-lease would be Russian bias
Giving it to UK, would make UK mains cry about EF-2000

and other operating countries are yet to be given to any main country of the game, but need a reason for those to be linked with main nations.
