In game the Harrier II in the British tree needs engine changes.
The GR.7 could do with the addition of the Rolls Royce Pegasus Mk.107 to give it a good boost in preformance. This would only require redesignating it to GR.7A or could even be as simple as an engine replace modification. This would also be aided by the fact that the engine is already in the game.
The T.10 is more sensitive. Currently the T.10 uses the aformentioned Pegasus Mk.107 which helps it greatly due to the extra weight it has over the single seater it was based on. In real life however the T.10 still used the less powerful Rolls Royce Pegasus Mk.105 and the trainer Harriers didn’t receive the newer Mk.107 until the T.12A. This was the trainer variant of the GR.9A which means that if the T.10 is to keep the engine it should be changed to the T.12A and definitely needs to be given the proper loadout(copy of the tech tree GR.7 including full BOL pods and 9Ms). If not it should just get downgraded to the Mk.105 engine and probably lowered to 11.0 because that would be extremely painful to play.
Below stock engine stats

Should the engines be changed in game?
If yes, should the T.10 be changed to the T.12A with new armament or be given the Mk.105?
At the very least as much it would pain me as I do enjoy playing the T.10 it really should not have the Mk.107 engine and definitely should get the Mk.105 if they naturally don’t magically make it into a T.12A.
First post so be nice please.
Another option would also be to move the GR7 down to 12.0 and then add the GR9A with:
- TERMA
- HMD
- MK107 Engines
- Sniper Pod
- Brimstone
- Paveway IV
- 6x AAM fit
- 100% LERX
Though they do really need to decide whether the T10 is the T10 or the T12

Yeah I’ve always thought that 12.3 is definitely a bit high for a subsonic AIM-9M slinger.
Especially considering that the A-10C is literally 11.7 which is criminal and the placement of the MiG-21 Bison with R-73s and R-27s at the same BR as the Harrier.
6 AIM-9Ms, a HMSS, better engine and Brimstones would be great.
And yeah calling it the T.10, removing the outer BOL pods, giving it only 9L even though it’s supposed to have identical armament to the GR.7 and giving it the Mk.107 which was only added on the T.12A. Full blown identity crisis aircraft.
Also I’m reading that the HMSS was inherited from Jaguar GR.3 so another thing for Gaijin to get on.

Yeah, unless it’s being planned to come with mmW Brimstones and/or ASRAAM. The latter of which I think would be a mistake.
Yeah the Jag though is really long overdue
Yeah it is, with supersonics with 6x 9M or or 4x 9M and 4x Aim-7 only 0.3 higher, the BR has become stupidly compressed , using 9Ls as the standard, GR7 should be 12.0. (A-10A with 4x 9Ls at 10.7 Vs SHar with 4x 9Ls at 11.0)
T10… Yeah its complicated. Just glad we won the argument and it got 2x BOL, was going to have none originally.
I don’t mind the 9Ls because it means it can sit lower in both GRB and especially ARB/ASB. I find the 12.3 BR a bit of a chore but it’s quite good at 11.3 in ASB, much like the GR7 was before it got 9Ms
Yeah the HMD was nicked from the Jaguar GR3A when they retired and used on the Harrier GR9A and Tornado GR4 (is modeled in-game on the GR4)
I kinda forgot about the F-15A.
4 AIM-7M and 4 AIm-9Ms at’s 12.7 while you got a subsonic with only the 4 9Ms just 1 step below it. Really showing off that compression issue.
