it does, they’ll have to wait 15 minutes to ruin another game, further decreasing their willingness to play after 3 or so times.

Agreed, as it stands right now it simply encourages players to have just one vehicle in their lineup.

But even better would be if something was done to reduce the number of players with just one vehicle in their lineup.

I just simply switch nations and continue, or just bring a reserve tank and high tier plane to continue in high tier battles without crewlock

in addition, Gj can set the minimal line up to 3 vehicles. And don’t lock crews only if theses 3 vehicles are destroyed by enemies (for prevent “Jout” suicides).

It’s there for a reason

Is crew lock there to make you do this ,Force you to potentially spend more on another nation?

I’m F2P (if you ignore the $1.98 I spent) so it doesn’t matter

What a narrow minded way to look at it. Why should I be crew locked for 15min if a teammate deliberately slams my plane into the ground, or I clip my wing on one of the ridiculously tall (taller than a f-king apartment building!) trees. Not everything revolves around you.

ruin?, I’ve gotten crew locked because my controller died in air rb

i was talking about 1 death leavers’ ability to ruin games

yea true, I’d rather pull out an m61 to fight a leopard 1 than 1 death leave

The game can’t even distinct between the two.

True, and if crew lock was increased it’ll cause problems for non intentional deaths but my point still stands, it’ll make games more healthy in the long run for grb.

Right now as it stands, you can easily watch a yt vid or something to wait out the crew lock but if it were 15 minutes, continuously doing so would reduce your drive to play the game, ridding people of your negative behavior.

It goes like this:
-join a game
-rush a cap
-die and leave the game
-wait 15 minutes.
-Rince and repeat.

As this game is centered around a grind, they’ll see that their behavior hinders it.

After 4 or so crew locks, any normal person would start to question why they are playing 5 minutes in game to spend 15 minutes in the hangar and either stop playing or change.

I would probably just stop playing for the day if I had to wait 15 minutes because some TikTok Kid thought it was funny to belly his plane onto mine when we take off.

If the current system wasn’t so lazy, or was implemented separately for Ground and Air, I would happily endorse a 1 hour crew lock or even 1-3 day ban for such activities.

Also, what do you want to do about Premium 1DLs? Gaijin literally promotes this by selling singular tanks at high tier such as the Turms and I’m even guilty of using 1 premium tank when the grind becomes too monotonous.

its funny when they try to make you crash by pushing down your wing and you just roll them off and they end up crashing themselves.

Just got a lovely 5 minute crewlock because my internet died, whilst already got 3 kills and was fighting another guy. Lazy system

I think crew lock is working reasonably well, I’d hesitate to change it at the moment because I think it’ll either punish players who are genuinely engaging with the game, or allow bad actors greater license to ruin other people’s fun.

I don’t notice it impacting my gameplay except for when I’m playing in a squad and my friends or I die early and we want to que up again together before the previous match is finished. Otherwise if I think I’m going to need to leave a battle before it’s finished I’ll plan my lineup appropriately. I think it encourages players to plan for the matches they want to have, whether or not it succeeds is hard to judge.

As an aside, I notice that in most matches I play, the team that loses is generally the team that also has 5-7 players that have 2 deaths and no kills, assists, or caps (this observation is consistent for all battle ratings I play 0-11.7 Ground RB). I consider myself decent at in the game, but if I’m not paying attention in anything above rank II I’ll typically get sent back to the hanger quickly without achieving much.
