All R2Y2 are at very high br of 8.0 which they don’t belong on my opinion they face so many jets that easily out class them like F-86 / Su-7 / Mig 15 big list…
My br recommendation for ground / air BRs.
R2Y2 V1 7.0 For both ground / air.
R2Y2 V2 7.3 For both ground / air.
R2Y2 V3 7.3 For both ground / air.

comparing to me 262 brs Keep in mind me 262 have worst turn rate but have better max speed up to 1000km with limited booster for 2mins for the C-1a / C-2b
R2Y2 at 7.3 in ground rb will help and boost cas line up with 7.3 ground !

Speaking only from my experience in the V1, I didn’t really feel as though it was dramatically overtired or worthy of 7.3, and definitely not 7.0. It has good guns, it’s a pretty great dogfighter, but it’s slow, doesn’t climb all too well, and has no avionics to speak of. It will face better aircraft sometimes, but no aircraft ingame doesn’t. If the V2/3 are better than it, I’d say they’re fine where they’re at. If the V1 goes down to 7.7 I wouldn’t complain, the Ouragans which I’m familiar with are there and they’re just worse imo (although those might need to be 7.3, not the best comparison).
Perhaps my memory serves me poorly, but I don’t think they’re that incredibly overtiered. They’re light, decently nimble, have exceptional firepower, and can do well against nearly every enemy when played right. If the BRs need to be changed, I say set the V1 at 7.7 and see where it goes from there. If it needs to go lower after that it can, and maybe the V2/3 can as well.
As for Ground RB, I can’t really say sine I’ve never played Japan ground below 9.3 myself, but I’ve heard the APHE belt is pretty devastating (Not that that matters cough Yak-9K). If it’s going to go down in BR for ground or even considered at all, that will need to be kept in mind for sure. As for lineups, there’s a certain forums user who knows of plenty of CAS options Japan can get, I’m sure he know of plenty of other solutions.

For me (Air RB only) they seemed more like 7.7.
But, given they have been removed from the game (for new research) with Gaijin saying many times they were planned to be removed when something else could replace them, I don’t think stink will happen with them, unless some game mechanic changed and made them OP for which they’d go up in BR.
But… happy to be wrong in this case.

Don’t you dare, the Ouragan is the greatest plane ever and can beat anything, it is superior to the top fighters in the world and could beat even a F-22. Saying otherwise is blasphemy

Nah we obviously can’t get decompression because imagine if you had to wait 1 minute instead of 30 seconds for a match? That would be the end of the game surely

Most balance issues are mostly due to compression, and this is an example

i suggested these br from my (experience) using these 3 jets and they face a lot of planes that out perform them the guns are great and turn rate on V2 / V3 are really good but still lower br will help them a little bit and boost the ground rb line up at 7.0 Br if you own it.

What I’m pointing out is it would probably bully others in downtiers if it went down, again the only solution is decompression
All three versions would be about fine at 7.7 any gamemode.
The only reason why it shouldn’t be 8.0 in Air RB is stupidly compressed air bracket around 9.0-11.0, like how in the hell R2Y2 is an opponent to MiG 15bis (8.3 jet btw), and moreso 9.0 planes that start to get some sort of IR AAMs and afterburners.
The only reason why it shouldn’t be 8.0 in Ground RB is the lack of avionics. Like, sure, MiG 15bis also doesn’t get them at 8.3 GRB, but does about fine due to not being large + fat as hell and not loose most of airspeed and energy during intense maneuvering. It was even more horrible when it faced PGZ09 that would see you kilometers away from battlefield while firing invisible buckshot munition at your very approximate location.
So yeah. 7.7 R2Y2 wouldn’t kill matchmaker, but as if Gaijin would care about fake plane
