Delusional quote at best
Yeah a smaller seeker is good, here’s what it shrinks down to
You want the smallest seeker FOV possible with a high track rate to see the least amount of flares
problem is it looks tiny but you need to be real close for that ring to completely capture an enemy
for the r27t 2 degrees you have to pretty much go into touching distance
Magic 2/R-73 are much better dogfight missiles than the AIM-9M, I basically never carry the 9M when the pylon they use can carry amraams, even though amraams are useless at close range, they can at least hit things that are further than 3 - 4 miles away.
Bro you have an almost negative KD in the F8U-2 in one of the most OP Murrican Planes. Whats wrong about this “quote” the R60 ignore flares in a 600m Range the R73 falls for them (or it death wobble itself)
No, it has the original FOV on launch and once it finds the engine it shrinks down, that is very effective and good at what it does.
R-24Ts are cruise missiles, especially with IRST, idk what ur on about
.
I just used the r27t (Sorry some how I wrote r24)
Because it has the most narrow seeker I know of so it’s somewhat effective in simulating the fov gated r73
To visualize what the missile sees
2 degrees vs the fov gated r73 0.75
0.75 is infinitely better than 2
Like so so much better
Still alot closer to 0.75 than 4.5 which is the r73 stock fov
There is no “stock” for a missile it gets its full capabilities immediately, also where the hell did you get 4.5 from
Stock meant the default fov which is visualized by the small ring wen aiming/searching for lock
Before launch
That’s still blatantly wrong, the R-73 does not have a 4.5 FOV EVER it has either a 1.5 or a 2 I forget which one right now
The R-73 is good and it is tied with the Magic II for the best seeker FOV in game (the Magic should be significantly better at 0.42 though)
Well can almost definitely say it’s not 2 or 1.5
Becouse it’s 2 for the r27t which is much smaller than the r73 default fov so just because of that I think 4.5 looks resonable
it has a 4.5° FOV until launch when it clamps down to the 0.75°
Yea that’s what I think too
R-73 FOV
R-27T FOV
R-60 FOV
You guys are on some weird stuff man
The R-27T is smaller on launch but that doesn’t jack the R-73 all the way up to 4.5 lol
Yea r27t has the smallest
??? lmao aim9m works literally only side on and only against people that dont know how to flare it
