And…
bro made a whole slide show instead of sharing replay
ASRAAM isn’t in game. That being said, it has no issue being ground launched and so shouldnt care about launch speed from an aircraft when it is added.
Not to mention SRAAM having issues with low speed launches (by the metric of low speed they’re showing) is a dubious claim at best, given one of the particular platforms it was glued to. But all thrust vectoring options have issues in game at low speed, which really should not be the case given how the missiles function IRL.
Actually… That is fine. Gunjob has sources for it having a min launch speed of 450 kph. Which in the Hunter F6 is fine and only an issue in the Harrier Gr1 if you are doing crazy VIFF stuff.
The issue is the crazy behaviour when fired within certain distances (sub-400m) and less so due to launch speed.
Look at the replay captures. The “low speed” they’re pointing to is pretty within what I’d expect for a harrier launch, and pretty above the min speed. Basing the statements off of their metrics, maybe wasn’t clear. If so, my bad.
Ah I see. I can barely figure out what is going on in their screenshots , but I doubt their missile missing had anything to do with launch speeds
It was more likely thrust vectoring causing it to lag behind and the IRCCM being questionable at best of times on the R73. But yeah, 700km/h is well above a “low speed” launch. It wouldn’t cause the issue. But can’t really work out much more without a link.
Yeah, “Low speed” me is like 200 kph.
Its impossible to know what is going on via screenshots and not getting the replay link.
Aye, was just adding that to my comment.
i must be the luckiest person ever because i have never once had an R-73 or MICA spin out in an actual match rofl
I rarely have MICA spin out, but the wobble bleeds so much energy that the already ahistorically short range is even shorter.
Almost 5 out of 10 R-73s I shoot end up in spin. 3 out of 10 are lost just by spawning flares without turning off afterburner and without trying to evade.
It happened again today
almost zero resistance to flares.
At 500m he loses the tracking with the first flare badly fired.
They are supposed to complain that at 1.5km it is impossible to dodge but really it is just whining.
Here you can clearly see the afterburner on.
Can you share a link to the replay pelase instead of these screenshots. Its possible to actually see what is going on clearly
