Questions about the future of the Strv122 family

as far as i am concerned they gonna skip it, just like they skipped a bunch to the 2a7V

they are not copy paste, several differences, so i wouldnt bet on it.

the finnish still dont own any 2a7V. Where is this weird misconception coming from?

Sorry, this is a machine translation so there may be some errors.
What I want to say is, if the 2A8 is added to Sweden, how will that solve the problem of Sweden having four top-tier main battle tanks?

there is the L/44A1, upgraded short barrel which allows them to fire the upgraded ammunition,
so that would be a possbility to gain advanced round access

I don’t know bro, just taking what other people said I don’t know the finnish except don’t fight them in the snow.

I believe 2A7A1 was in the game file and included in the data “opinions”.

It’s a 2A8 essentially, maybe Gaijin will model those differences as that’s easier than making a model for a whole new Str 123.

thats just it, norwegian 2a8 is different from german one.

What gajin might decide is to not give sweden a new mbt, easy as that

it was not

then you know gajin badly xD, there is reasons many nations still is missing stuff cause of that.

Is having four an issue?

Yes, as mentioned in the conversation above, we concluded that Sweden’s top tier MBTs are a very good overall force due to their ability to consistently produce high quality MBTs. This means that adding a new cutting edge tank could be problematic. However, if the same cutting edge tank is added to a different tree, it may not be an issue.

ehhh, all licensed german tanks, they dont develop them themself.
The changes added to the game are of minor and still got added
Sweden is just very well liked by gajin and thats why they got so many handouts

I’m sorry, but my response was just explaining why it’s problematic for Sweden in the game to have four top-tier MBTs, and not about the real world.
Due to the nature of machine translation, there may be some errors. I apologize if that’s the case.

I’m still baffled by that Leopard 2 PSO inclusion though.

Realistically going forward they will get new stuff but not the 122, you’ll need to wait for the 123 both of which are still a bit strange as the swedes have decided to upgrade the remaining 122’s to 123A standard by giving them a new L/55 while also buying Leo 2A8’s and calling them Strv 123.

As for the 122 family theres only about 2 more they could add realistically. The 122C which would be no different than the 122A in game. Or the Strv 122B which would utilize the periscope of the PLSS (which is the name of the sight) as Trackfire was tested on a 122B and would give sweden another periscope 122 with a modular weapon system from 30mm grenade launcher with 7.62 mounted with smokes to a 50 cal.

I don’t think you should worry about them too much, other nations def need to catch up to sweden and id rather they focus on swedens lower BR’s and air tree before worrying about MBT’s

You mean were liked, it was flavor of the month but lets not pretend they still are especially given the last few additions have been of very poor caliber.

But lets try not to bring in Bias with the post and this is more so a thing for everyone here. Id like to stay to the post and OP’s question on other 122’s

Also that not on you but its more so the post, there a lot of animosity towards sweden since gaijin has for a very long time had the majority of swedens leopards be the only armor Leos while ignoring Germanys own equivalents so your post is going to drag out the cope posters unfortunately.

If you have actual questions regarding the 122’s and their models though im available. Additionally if you have questions regarding German models im sure @dotSHINI would be more than welcome to give you a solid intro to the variety of German models and perhaps the model that inspired the 122 the TVM iirc

Resume

I believe this was the one that went to sweden as the roof armor is what would be used on the 122 if anyone else has more info though do add or correct me on this. Im not as well versed on the early Leo 2 models post 2A4

i mean, you say that like there is a lot to be added currently, they cant reasonably give you another mbt,
You got 2 spaas now, and gripen e with a giant amount of spice. sweden for ground is as best rounded as it can be. You got top tier lights of both variants, strongest mbts, a good CAS aircraft now.
The only thing were sweden is screwed is helis, but there literaly just is nothing possible.

They cant do big caliber ground additions, cause sweden already has everything. and i would say gripen e is a big caliber, same as new spaas

This would be a better discussion for DM’s rather than this post and i would disagree and we could go over the small details as to why i find your point factually wrong i doubt it would do either of us any good to discuss it as i believe you would ignore any of my points i suggest to you regardless of if they are valid or not.
