Is the game fun ?

I’ve been playing war thunder for quite some time , I guess about 3 years haven’t spent a single dollar till this year that I finally spent money on the game , but , the game is just not fun anymore . getting over the rank 5 vehicles is very rewarding but once you keep playing the game for so much time you realise the game is not only very repetitive but the game is just an rng . Will you get good teammates ? , will you get one shotted on the first 3 minutes of the match .
i gave the game a break on the firebirds update to test ome other games in general , and than on this update came back but the game still not fun , even became less fun once I got on some other games here and there , on planes flying for 2 minutes to the battlefield to sometimes be just killed by a random dude on space , or dying on that head-on your forced to go , playing a light tank and in 2 minutes a random dude with a plane shoots you and you die , just too much things that you don’t have any way to do anything else .
I really enjoy the game idea don’t get me wrong , I play war thudner because there is no such other game like it , but , its not fun to play a game for so long and don’t see any real improvments for the comunity , we don’t get what we ask , if you think your getting the typhoon because you asked , im sorry but your wrong , you got the typhoon be cause they knew it needed to be added and they knew it would boom the game again .
The LATAM comunity asked for their vehicles and where they are ? , they are a huge part of our comunity and yet aren’t considered even to get their own servers …

It is more fun than World of Tanks because you can do more for your team to win because there are no dumb health bars. One good shot and you can move on to the next enemy.

It’s fun if you enjoy it - no one can tell you whether it is fun for you - only you can determine that.

It likely won’t be fun if you treat it as something it isn’t - eg expecting “accurate” WW2 or cold war battles, or fighting “historical enemies”

ASB when you have a lot of silver lions saved up to not care about repair costs (how much SL this means varies by what rank you fly. 70K for props is about enough) and aren’t thinking about RP gain is a lot of fun.

Especially if people are all engaged in the gameplay rather than zombie grinding so you get fun formation flights and emergent teamwork.

Fun diminishes rapidly during events as people seem to focus only on getting score as fast as possible and flood lobbies with zombie grinders and no-honour airfield camping. Last event I managed to get a kill without taking off, because people wererocketing planes taking off for easy score.

Join a squadron, get on voice communications with same, and work together playing as an actual teammates. Hoping you are going to have decent teammates, based on random players of different skills and objectives, of course it’s not fun.
