I’m experiencing several perplexing issues and would appreciate it if someone knowledgeable could explain them. When using the E-Gripen, the image of an aircraft displayed on the radar screen frequently disappears suddenly and reappears after several tens of seconds. Furthermore, even when I point the radar at a detected enemy aircraft, it sometimes remains undisplayed for extended periods, and the soft lock on an approaching enemy aircraft suddenly switches to a semi-lock. The radar mode is set to TWS, and the radar direction and elevation/depression angles are properly adjusted. Why is this happening? Does this problem occur with all AESA radars, not just the E-Gripen? I only own an E-Gripen, so I’m unfamiliar with other radars. Thank you for your help.

What direction is the target aircraft flying relative to you?
It is moving straight towards us or slightly diagonally.
Shoudlnt be notching then.
Have you accidently cycled through radar IFF modes?
I haven’t changed any IFF settings except for filtering out bombs.
I don’t understand why the aircraft’s response disappears even though I haven’t performed any notching.
Can you share a clip please?
I haven’t recorded any clips until now, so could you please wait a day or two?
Sure, just reply to me in this thread.
