While examining the two pieces of fighters, I noticed a difference. Su-33 does not have R-27R/T, only R-27ER/ET, but Su-27 requires separate research on R-27R/T.
Is this just a difference in research, or is that because Su-33 has never actually used the R-27R/T in real life?
The difference between both planes is the following:
Su27 has double the ammount of countermeasures compared to the su33
(96 vs 48)
Su27 is around 2 tons lighter and as a result has better flight performance
Su33 is able to carry 2 more r-27’s
Su33 has a better RWR than the Su27
It seems that way, there isn’t really anything saying that the su33 carried the r27r or r27t, but it theoretically might still able to use them irl

To add on to this, im pretty sure the Su-33 has better low speed handling compared to the Su-27

How much better is the su 33 RWR?
L-150 instead of SPO-15, can actually identify targets
Su33 has a digital rwr like the F-4E for example
The Su27 still has an analog RWR so it only gives you rough directions but not what is locking or launching at you
The su33 can pull more AoA but the problem is that it is around 2 tons heavier compared to the Su27 which makes it more sluggish at lower speeds
su-33 gets a digital rwr that gets threat identification, f-4e gets a digital rwr but doesn’t get threat identification
Interesting. I’ve found the su 27 RWR to be utterly trash.
i mean you can just testdrive the Su-33 to look at the RWR
