The Pvkv II currently implemented in War Thunder does not accurately represent the final configuration of the vehicle. As it stands, the in-game Pvkv II visually and structurally resembles an earlier prototype or early production variant rather than the finalized version commonly associated with the designation “Pvkv II.”
When comparing the in-game model to historical pictures, it becomes clear that the Pvkv II currently shown matches early variants of the vehicle. However, the final Pvkv II differed in some noticeable ways, and these differences are not reflected in the current model. This creates a mismatch in its representation in the game.

Historical pictures of the Late Pvkv II

Some differences include:
Chassis Differences:
- Different Tow hooks
- Hull MG has been removed (Probably temporary?)
Turret Differences:
- Different Gun shield cover, The actual one covers more of the breach gap and has a inner ridge giving more structural design
- Different hook placements around the turret body.
(If there is anything else mention it! I will add it.)

Because of this, there are two reasonable solutions, appearent to me:
- Remake or update the model to accurately represent the finalized Pvkv II configuration
- Rename the current vehicle from “Pvkv II” to “Pvkv II (Early)” to correctly reflect what is actually being depicted
Either option would improve historical accuracy and reduce confusion for players.
Opportunity for a Pvkv II (Late)
Renaming the current vehicle to “Pvkv II (Early)” could also open the door for an additional Swedish tank destroyer at a slightly higher BR the: Pvkv II (Late).
Historically, the Pvkv II existed during the same general period as the Pvkv m/43, when the APDS (sabot) round for the Lvakan m/37 was developed. The Lvakan m/37 was capable of firing this APDS ammunition, and the gun itself is the same weapon later used on the Strv 74. If this interpretation is correct (and please correct me if not), it provides a strong historical basis for a late-model Pvkv II equipped with APDS.
Such a vehicle Could be added and:
- Sit comfortably in the 4.3–5.3 BR range
- Use a familiar and already modeled Swedish platform with minor changes
- Offer significantly improved performance against heavier armor
- Feature approximately 247 mm of penetration with APDS, comparable to the Strv 74
This would effectively give Sweden its own version of a lightweight, high-penetration tank destroyer—similar in concept to Germany’s Waffenträger^^ But taller and faster
- Model should just be fixed to the latest variation photographed
- Rename it Pvkv II (Early)
- Im not intrested
