Hi everyone and happy holidays!

Have startet to play War Thunder with german tech tree but i missed the german sales :(
So i have purchased a few USA vehicles to make a good line up to play.

My list of vehicles:

M1A1 Click-Bait (BR 12.0)
RDF/LT (BR 12.0)
M1128 Wolfpack (BR 10.3)
EFV (BR 9.3) from event, this was my entry to USA tech tree.
AH-64A (GR) (BR 11.7)
F/A-18C Early (BR: 12.3) this raises me in higher tier matches.
I like the FA18C but i dont like to play most of time against 13.0 enemys i can not defeat.

I dont want to play USA… but it makes fun!

I am thinking to buy the F4-S Phantom II or AV-8B (NA) to level up the USA tech tree and to lower my BR in realistic battles. The F/A-18C matches me with ground battles with T-80m enemys and they have insane armor! My weak M829A2 with up to 628mm pen can not pen the armor of the T-80m.

But on the other side i whould play with my F/A-18C so i have more options in the vehicle for more situations, but the high BR is so hard to play. Old tech tree dont makes fun, but missiles only gameplay is boring too. I wish there is a game mode with F/A-18C and older missiles to make more close combat.

Does it makes realy sense to get F4-S Phantom II or AV-8B (NA) in my 12.0 ground battle lineup?
Tigershark, many people say its not worth etc.
The A10-A sounds cool, but is to weak on BR 12.0 realistic? But my F/A-18C can do the same!?

I have only premiums to avoid run out of money. Before i was free to play and the repair ammo costs have ruined me, so i prefer to avoid this situation and dont buy premium game time anymore!

PS: Have watched so much F/A-18C videos about the gameplay but i can not repeat this. I am clode to the ground but get missiled out of my vehicle. Bombing bases is not possible, i like the gameplay but i get missiled out before i can reach the enemy base. The 13.0 enemys are so hard to fight.

I want to buy one more pack to get enough golden eagles to buy the Akanzas battleship, it going of the shop and is available for GE. Have allready the Des Moines and the USS Newport News. So its a good line up for naval.

The EVENTS makes me total angry. I whould like to have the “Tosa” Japanese Battleship, but the grind is insane hard in this short time. So i want to skip all other nations in War Thunder.

If you want the Arkansas, NOW is a good time to buy it. It is on sale. If it will return, it will likely cost about 8000GE.
In general, BBs have rather boring gameplay.

Not sure if you got it wrong, but premium game time is the first, best and cheapest investment in this game. With premium game time, you can’t lose money in matches, unless you teamkill or crash on purpose.

I dont want to play the game because of premium game time, i whould play when i have fun to play.
With premium its time limited, i dont play, i waste money on premium time i dont use.

That is not well thought over: The amount of money you have invested would provide you with many years of premium. It would turn ALL your vehicles in ALL nations into premium ones for years. It would ensure that you have no negative costs.
I am using premium myself and I just dont think about it when I don’t like to play. If I don’t play for a month, I lose 3€. OMG! 10 cents a day. A top tier premium stops being top tier after a while when power creep sets in. Same thing in a way. Just that it doesn’t revert to top again once you return.
But do as you please. Just ask yourself if the time you spend on average on this game isn’t worth flat 10 cents a day.
