The Sky Odyssey changelog mentions that the number of gears in the HSWL transmission was increased from 10 forward and 5 reverse to 12 and 8, respectively. However, the two cited sources—from Renk and PSM—both state that the HSWL 256 transmission has 6 forward and 6 reverse gears. A source was referenced but not taken into account.

It’s a automatic transmission with a torque converter, which have their gears doubled ingame.

So 6 forward gears irl → 12 gears ingame

Reverse gears are thus also correct, PSM writes that the 5th and 6th reverse gears are electronically blocked.

Therefore, 4 reverse gears irl → 8 gears ingame
