PT-76B’s cumulatives have 200mm of penetration. It can destroy any tank on it’s BR with one shot. They hide behind buildings and kill from where you can’t see it. It is really annoying.
HEAT-FS specially lower caliber as the PT-76Bs’ doesn’t share good damage compared to other vehicles.
If you have a chance play with it, the armor also doesn’t help. Being an amphibious vehicles require thin armor incapable to sustain heavy machine guns.

yea but its HEAT-FS has sod all post pen damage, it probs should be 5.7 but its pretty trash.

Even when fighting the PT-76 while being a brand spanking new player, I always saw it as a sad vehicle.

Have you ever even used that thing? Sure, the round has a good penetration, but thats it. It rarely kills stuff with 1 shot, and often you need even 3,4 rounds to kill heavier opponents.

Its has next to no armor and horrible damage.
Focus on using armor as a passive advantage rather than an active advantage.

German mains have no situational awareness and think their tigers should be inpenetrable. Then seethe when they get penned frontally by a pt-76 one of the sadder vehicles in game. And the soviet 76b is at least good compared tot he chinese 76a

Yeah, it’s just ‘gone’ from the tree. Obj 211 takes the place, but btw it’s been nerfed to the ground now. Also ZTS 63 is still sitting at 6.3 which doesn’t work.
have you played them ? the PT-76B is qute bad, and generaly dont oneshot anything
damn, there was an unique PT-76 variant? Can you show it? A few screenshots of specs and layouts?
The PT-76 would definitely be OP if HEAT damage wasn’t so buggy, and it wasn’t played by literally the worst players in Warthunder, but right now, it’s honestly no more than just annoying.
Having a 5 sec reload, full stabilizer, and HEATFS on such a small vehicle is quite goofy for 5.3, however it’s held back by how slow it is (comparable to an M24 Chaffee), its bad gun depression, and how easy it is to kill.
Whilst a Pt-76 needs careful aiming to deal damage, any other tank can shoot it pretty much wherever and kill it instantly due to the nature of APHE, and how spacey the Pt-76 is.
Its even stabbed, very low profile and fast for its BR. Quite annoying vehicle to deal with in WW2 tanks. It would also find its way at higher BRs vs other cold war vehicles…
