Hello everyone :), what I would like to introduce today is Project 14310M
The Project 14310M patrol boat is a small high-speed vessel designed by the renowned Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau in Saint Petersburg, Russia, and built by the “Vympel” shipyard in Yaroslavl Oblast. It primarily serves the Russian Coast Guard and is specifically employed for tasks such as territorial waters self-defense, Exclusive Economic Zone patrols, anti-smuggling operations, counter-terrorism interdictions, and the protection of fisheries resources.
The main armament of Project 14310M is an AK-306 rotary cannon—designed and manufactured by the Tula Machine-Building Plant—which is a lower-rate-of-fire version of the AK-630 with the original water-cooling jacket removed. Developed primarily for small patrol vessels to engage targets such as high-speed hovercraft, the AK-306 features a significantly reduced weight. Unlike the AK-630, which relies on internal energy (specifically, propellant gases) to drive the barrels, the AK-306 utilizes external power—an electric motor—to rotate the barrels; this drastically cuts the turret system’s overall weight and size, making it easier to install on small-tonnage vessels. While this results in a lower rate of fire—1,000 rounds per minute compared to the AK-630’s 4,000–5,000 rounds per minute—it is entirely adequate for patrol vessels operating in low-intensity combat environments.
The vessel’s secondary armament consists of two 14.5mm MTPU machine guns mounted on the port and starboard decks aft of the bridge, with a total ammunition supply of 2,000 rounds. A “Dzhigit” twin-rail launcher for Igla-1M air-defense missiles is installed on the aft deck; the system carries two ready-to-fire missiles, with six additional missiles stored on board.
Given that pirate vessels and smugglers’ boats are typically highly mobile and rugged—and considering the poor long-range accuracy of the AK-306 autocannon—the Russian Navy developed the “Vikhr-K,” a high-precision, multi-purpose missile and gun system. Based on the AK-306 and AK-630 autocannons, the system requires minimal modification or compatibility adjustments, allowing for installation on any vessel already equipped with these turrets. It is designed to destroy surface targets, stationary or mobile ground targets (both armored and unarmored), engineering structures, and aerial targets at long range.

The system is straightforward in design. It utilizes the 9M127 and 9M120 missiles—originally developed for helicopters—which feature both armor-piercing and proximity-fuzed warheads, allowing for flexible switching between ground and air attack modes during combat. Launch tubes are mounted on both sides of the turret, while an electro-optical sensor unit atop the bridge provides all necessary targeting capabilities, enabling the gunner to conduct remote engagements from the cabin. This highly compact, integrated gun-and-missile system offers a firing arc of ±180° horizontally and -4° to +38° vertically, with a maximum range of 10 km. Thanks to laser guidance, it achieves high accuracy in clear weather, and the inclusion of a stabilization system allows for effective engagement even in rough sea conditions. The system required minimal modification, relying on components with proven reliability while costing far less than developing a standalone weapon station from scratch.

The vessel is powered by two M520-BE diesel engines, each capable of delivering up to 5,400 horsepower, enabling a top speed of 50 knots (93 km/h). Its propulsion control assembly integrates an automated dynamic interceptor fluid control system designed to stabilize the hull; during high-speed planing at 50 knots, the system automatically fine-tunes the flow field at the stern based on wind and wave conditions, significantly suppressing hull motion.
The Project 14310M patrol boat is a highly distinctive coastal vessel. Its AK-306 autocannon and 14.5mm machine guns can rapidly tear apart small boats with their high rate of fire, though the autocannon has limited ammunition. As a supplement, its accompanying 4 × 9M127 or 9M120 missiles can effectively destroy small craft and can also engage aircraft with proximity-fused warheads. Additionally, Igla MANPADS are mounted on the rear deck for anti-aircraft defense. With its high speed as well, it would make an excellent top-tier vessel if added to the game. Suggested BR: 4.3.
