Problem the KEEP THE BALANCE Add The R77,Aim120 For Bison,F20

I’ve been playing it in ground battles for the stock grind. Super easy, easier than the P51H5NA stock grind.

Not quite true. The plane was fully capable of guiding and firing said weapon. However it would need a software update to be truly compatible. It could be mounted, it theoretically could be fired, it could be guided as well.

So again, the system to use the missile was never installed in the plane. I can put an aim9 on a cessna 150 doesnt mean its going to work.

Now that would be a popular premium/event vehicle :D

Define the system you’re referring to. The F-20A had nearly everything it needed, despite still being a prototype and not the production variant. It had its radar capable of guiding the Aim-120 and Aim-7, and it had datalink and TWS. It had all the “system”s board that it needed. All it needed was a software update to those systems. Much like adding the R-27ER to the MiG-29 9.12A ingame which also had the exact same issue IRL.

It was designed for the aim7 and had the capability to shoot the aim7, not the 120. TWS has nothing to do with being able to fire a missile its a radar mode.

AGAIN you answer your own question

its not a plug and play system. Its not like installing a video game into a computer. This would have to be programed and developed then implemented into the planes computer. Its like saying this PC software is a computer software so it should run on a Mac by just installing it. no, it has the be programed to work with that system. Since the f-20 was cancelled before the R&D was complete on the 120 they would not have spent time to give that information over to them for a plane that was not in production.

next April fools event??

haha, yeah, either that or a lego event, either would be really fun april fools

this entire thread feels like an april fools event

Sure this may make sense in terms of IRL functions and the state of the 3rd F-20 prototypes development, however this is a game and ofc we still have gaijin over here to think about which loves to add production things to prototypes. They neglected information like this regarding the R-27ER to the MiG-29, Countermeasure on the F-5A/C, and a whole ass aircraft being the Yak-141. Adding the Aim-120 to an aircraft that was marketed as planned to be able to use such is something I wouldn’t put past gaijin.
The aircraft could have been made capable of implementing the missile yes, however it wasn’t yes. Regardless, it was still planned to be integrated in the same way future missiles for the MiG-29 9.12A was and the Yak-141 Gun, countermeasures, missile, radar… etc

We have precedent for these sorts of things be added into the game, however I also wouldn’t be surprised if gaijin adds a whole new premium aircraft for the USA TT so players have to buy a new premium to get ARH missiles. Well just have to see what happens when later rank premiums with ARH arrive, which is just a matter of time.

I’m pretty sure mockup missiles won’t be accepted as actual weapons, which is what happened to the EAP (Smin’s nightmare :))

Yes, of course the intention does not count that the plane is an unplayable thing and justifying its 75 dollars is more reasonable and no one could prove to me that these were models. You are what I am least informed about because you are the most uninformed, a book is worth more than its words.

lol

Thanks for bringing this up. I’ll lock the thread and see what shall be done.
