Problem in chat causes controls to "stick"

Since the Tusk update, there is a problem using chat. I am not exactly sure what causes it, but when starting chat, the first letter you type does not go into the chat window, but simply disappears. So if you type “what”, what comes out is “hat”.

That would be a minor issue, but it turns into a major one if the key in question is one of your control keys. In that case, when you exit chat by typing return, that key is pressed and held down.

So, for instance, if you are stopped behind some cover and opened chat to tell your team “watch behind the rock”, when you press return to send it your tank drives out info the line of fire.

There are many reports of this on the Reddit forums, on all platforms, but I can’t seem to find it here.

You can bug report it here (just search a bit first so that you don’t report something that is already reported and known about): (Gaijin.net // Issues)

A guide on how to report bugs can be found here: ([Navigation] Technical Knowledge Base | War Thunder Wiki)

The interface for the bug reporting system is terrible to the point that I have no idea whether it’s been reported. It’s sorting 4 year old reports above 2 yo, above 1 yo and then back to 4 yo. There appears to be no way to sort them by date.

You can sort them by game version though, so in the game version list you can check all the versions that came after this last major update. But i agree that a new to old sorting would be good for them to have.

That was even more hilarious. There is no way to select a major version, which is what this applies to because it’s in every release since Tusk, so you have to individually turn on all 50 version rows.
