Honestly, these pre-order packs can sometimes be really cool, but Gaijin really drops the ball by not providing more information at the time of purchase. I think it would be incredibly helpful if, when deciding whether or not to buy one of these pre-order vehicles, you could actually see the available modifications and secondary weapon loadouts. Am I losing my mind, or would that make a lot more sense to you guys too?
Just wait and see, your trusted YT streamer will surely make a video on it before the update drops.
On the other hand, just wait for the dev server, you can take a closer look at the vehicle there.
just look at real history if your like that or you can just look at f-18D Japan videos just notice that it will have 6 aim120B instead of 10 if you want it right now but if you can wait which you should do wait for dev streams and dev server you can see and test it
we also don’t have this cause
a mods quote so we don’t want people buying stuff expecting 10 aim120s then get just aim7Ps or no jet because of nerf or draw backs by devs
From what the moderators and devblogs say, I can tell you it’s not mainly for ARB (Air Realistic Battles). It’s for nuclear escalation to rival the Su-30MKK and Su-30MK2 on the Chinese and Russian tech trees, which are currently the best premium CAS (Close Air Support) options. The blue side (NATO) had nothing like them in terms of rewards, so Gaijin decided to give the USA an F-18D to offer a nice, equal counter.
I can’t say for sure if they are completely equal, but as an owner of both the Su-30MKK and the current F-18C (early), I can tell you both are good at CAS, though the current C variant is a bit lacking. As someone who is also considering the F-18D, I would recommend doing some research, watching a few videos, and taking it out for some test drives first.
