Thanks for the enlightenment, but this comes far too late. I’ve been a member of competitive squadrons for more than six years and play SQB, if you know what that means. And of course I also play normal realistic battles, mainly on the ground. After all, it’s not all ODL players.
Last tip on where this game is heading: there’s a special reward for people who team up, even if that’s not really what it’s supposed to do, but these are the so-called squadron vehicles…
The goals of each member of the team in WT may not be shared. If you want to play as a true team here, assemble one and go play tournaments. Random players don’t care about your goals, just theirs.
No, I never said it wasn’t a team, it’s a team made up of random players, each one with their own goals to play the game, which is very different from a team in sports that share a common goal.
No, the game is designed around the individual grind. It’s the grind that keeps most players playing it, not the desire to make part of a team effort. One match you play with your team mates, then next they may be your enemies. Even in your own team you compete with them, for kills, assists, bases, points, score, SL, RP, etc… In a true team as in sports everyone works for the same goal, in War Thunder everyone works for their own goals, even if you consider them a team goal like the win.
I joined in 2015 and the game had the same goals it has now, which is to grind new vehicles. That’s the main goal this game is designed around.
Actually I don’t, since I play this game there hasn’t been any restrictions about level in order to buy premiums, so why create new rules that naturally won’t be applied to you now?
What advertising promises, that they would never sell a top tier premium? Maybe that was the original mistake, and not actually selling them to players whose only interest is to play the most modern vehicles, regardless of their level.
What bending of rules, that you can use a single vehicle in your matches if you decide to? That has been the rule since I remember and you accepted it when you decided to play this game.
Anyone with open eyes, would read the rules of the game, understand them and has accepted them when they pressed the “To Battle!” button. Nothing has changed.
If you play the game, you accepted those rules, regardless if you like them or not. You just cannot pick the ones you like and act like the rest don’t exist.
It’s simple, win the match and get the awards for the daily und special tasks.
I already wrote that I am a member of a squadron and play SQBs, didn’t read or didn’t understand?
Have you ever heard of the principle of unwritten rules, of rules that arise from the context? War Thunder is a team game and you are expected to play as a team. What is there not to understand?
What kind of world would we live in if all human behavior was manifested in written rules?
But then parents would have enough material to read to their children in the evening… and the children would have to learn it by heart.
“Teamplay” in this game is “nice and welcome surprise”, not something required/expected/taken as granted. You are more likely to find guy who is sworn to push you out of cover, push you out of bounds to get you time-killed, who will try to teamkill you with arty than someone who will cooperate with you.
If you do not see this then well, you are playing different game
A better way that would bring in more money for gaijin AND be better for us is if gaijin introduced a premium progression.
In a tech tree, if you want the top premium vehicle(s), you have to buy (and play a certain amount of battles) with rank 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 premium vehicles (in order).
This is only fair so that 14 year old noobs with their moms credit card dont end up at top teir after buying a 70$ premium

this would save top tier america and all of top tier air within a month.
however I would like to see tank ranks be limited to crew skill level too to ensure a better level of balance at higher tiers, the difference in a low level crew and a high level one can change a match outcome directly
I dont care, like why is soooo hard for you to accept it…At the end of the day if I wanna buy top premium tank of heli or plane all you can do i come here on forum and cry about it, and thats just reality you cant accept and thats your problem.
Only one team wins, do your part then and stop complaining about how others play. The win is mostly decided by the top 3-4 players in every match, not by the worse in it. Most players don’t care about win rate in a game with teams made up of random players, they are mostly interested in grinding their vehicles and doing their tasks, this is War Thunder.
I did missed reading one of your replies to another player. But if you already play SQBs, why still complaining about players that don’t share the same goals as you in Random Battles with teams of Random players? They are not playing this game for you, they just happen to be in your team and not all players are tryhards.
What unwritten rules? Your made up unwritten rules that only you know and that you decided to apply to this game and to others? Yes, WT is a “team” game, with teams made up of random players which is much different from sports, each one with their own goals to play the game, be it for having fun, grinding vehicles, doing tasks, winning, etc… But the main purpose of this game is to grind new vehicles.
Yet, what you are trying to do here is to tell how others should be raising their children, cause your way is the “right” one. Until you can see that you can’t tell how others should play this game in a team made up of random players game, you’ll keep insisting in creating your own rules for that to happen. But it won’t.
