If we look at the technical performance data, and visible performance in (air arcade) battles, the premium Hornet Mk.I seems with BR 5.3 underrated. That makes it’s appearance in many battles annoying because of being too OP relative to most opponents. Mainly, it can escape opposing fighters easily due to the superiour top speed of 798 km/h. Jets which can do that are rated clearly higher even if e.g. their turn rate is worse.
I wasn’t asking why it - obviously - is so fast. But because of that speed (among other things) providing it’s potential battle performance I am questioning it’s BR.
Just before anyone else gets confused by this thread. OP Is talking purely about Arcade as the Premium Hornet already has a 6.0 BR in RB.
If Id hazard a guess to why its 5.3 in Arcade, its because its a bit of a bus, fast in a straight line, but not the greatest turn fighter in the world. especially compared to any of the spitfires at the same BR
Yes, I know the Do 335 as a nasty opponent, but somehow it does not feel so misrated like the Hornet. The premium Do 335 is 5.7 in air arcade. I can treat it like some of the early jets I meet occasionally, which means to avoid it unless the attack really seems promising.
