Pre-order: T58

This T58 is actual quirk with its oscillating turret.

In all fairness, the first U.S. T54E1 medium tank with an oscillating turret was already added as a premium before as well. The T54E2 with a normal turret and a non-autoloader version was also added shortly after it as a premium (which was kind of a really weird move).

I think players are honestly just really bummed out that this really cool heavy tank with a really big gun and fast reload isn’t as free-ish to get as they hoped to be.

Or that people are just really tired of paying for premium content lately with every recent major update lol.

I honestly thought years back the T58 would end up an event vehicle with the E-100, IS-7 and Surblinde.

It could’ve been worse, I’m just finally happy it’s here.

Yeah, I’m sure they have a process around deciding whether a vehicle becomes premium or not. Including how much depth is already at the intended BR, how much $$$ they think they can make and so on.

I’m honestly surprised it’s just a premium (akin of the Somua) rather than an event (or battlepass like the M6A2E1). So yeah, it sucks that it can’t be free for everyone, at least it will be highly available well into the future - with prices eventually to come down 50% during sales rather than skyrocketing on the market as (most) event vehicles do.

Fair, hopefully they start showcasing non-premiums asap.

How strong is the turret gonna be t32 strong or?

Something like Somua SM
Can deflect some crap shots, but nothing special

155mm HEAT and HESH is just unusual and one of its kind. Since I’m a big fan of heavies I’ll definitely be getting this one for sure, only problem is half the enemies it sees is covered in ERAs from head to toes, mainly first hit will mostly be clearing the ERAs blocks and then it can fire second shot in the blink of an eye right? we will see.

I think I will be weaker in some places but stronger on lower part as there are two layers of armor

Do you have any info on the T57 perchance?

2.5 second reload? Crazy…

What’s the T54E1 reload rate again?

On the one hand, yes. On the other though that’s now three vehicles from this family, virtually at the same BR, that are all premiums. I think it would have been nice for one out of the three to be a tech tree or event vehicle

Isn’t it 5 seconds? Should it be faster than that?

It is 5 seconds, it should be 30-35 RPM.

T57 was in much less finished state, so it doesn’t have as much info
Basically all the info about it’s armament is similar to M103 due to requirement of identical ballistics of T179 with T123E1(M103 gun)

Hunnicutt states 30 shots per minute IRRC, but it’s a secondary source.

There are no regular pre-orders on console.
But if you purchase the pack within the first two weeks of its availability on the console store, your purchase will be considered same as a pre-order on the Gaijin Store and you will receive the bonuses.

The m103 isn’t slow by any means, and that guys wants a 2.6s load time. Do you guys even hear yourselves?

I think a reload of 6-7s would be balanced for this kind of gun.

Obj.279:

10 sec auto loader
slightly more mobile
130mm cannon with APHE only, with 2 plane stabilizer.
Good hull armor
decent turret armor
9.0
from 1959

T58:

2.6s auto loader
good all around armor, volumetric will likely be hell on this tank, except hull sides can be trolly or easy to pen.
slightly less mobile.
155mm that gets HE, HESH, & HEATFS
more gun depression
neutral steer
roof .50 cal
from 1958

Ah yes I fail to see how these tanks are similar… at all… tell me you aren’t biased without telling me.
Both are heavies with good armor.
Both have large caliber guns.
But yet you want a 1.3 br gap?

One has more armor, the other has more gun. Seems like a trade off more than anything, but USA players can’t go one update without getting another bully tank.

That’s a lot of “only”
Oh I’m not triggered, it’s typical that you’d say something like that given your profile.

Unlike you though, I’ve actually played the vast majority of vehicles in the game. I understand br placement more than most people.

But you, the one who thinks this should be a 7.7, in an area where it can see 6.7s (because you want to seal club as all USA mains do), don’t understand that thing is likely to be at bare minimum an 8.0 or 8.3, which depending on its reload is still too low.

Funnily enough you want it to be the same br as the IS-6, IS-4, Maus, Somua, etc.

So lol apparently I’m triggered, because I have a point! Nice argument! (Not)

At 8.3 / 8.7 maybe.

But a heavy tank with Hesh that loads that fast will be a massively OP tank… who am I kidding though, it’s a USA tank, I’m sure that player base is veryyyy good at the game.

Cue the 4 clips of USA tanks driving past me in the open in the last 2 days:

HESH is in a terrible place in WT, if you think it will make the tank OP, bridges are in. I mean even the king BESH tanks struggle using 165/183mm HESH rounds a lot of the time. It needs a major rework.

And if you mean “shoot the same guy multiple times”, whats different to using an AP, APCBC, APDS or HEAT (which it has) round?

So it has all these extra shell types too? Wow. Spoiled. Means you can kill your enemy any way you want.

Hesh isn’t bad. That’s my go to on the RU 251, and for long range I swap to heatfs

Getting shot by the T58 be like:
