If you have the AVRE I recommend using it for practice if you fancy using the HESH on this thing ;)
Its drop is more painful for me to figure out then the AVRE is lol and I have a lot of experience with that tank. I 100% hope that someone makes a ranging table to download to aim off of for the T58 because it will need 1.

They reused the outdated M103 hull model…
According to photos, there’s no gap between the turret ring and the engine deck. In game the turret ring position should be further back in the hull. Please enter the link and select “I have same issue!” Community Bug Reporting System
The upper glacis armor (same as the M103) is also incorrect and underperforming: Community Bug Reporting System
The turret collar armor is correct, but the area under the gun should be at least ~180.34mm @ 23° and the closer it is to the gun, thicker it get’s and reaches up to 298.45mm. The turret roof armor is also incorrect and should be 38.1mm thick instead of 25.4mm.

Currently this area is 168.4mm @ 23° plus the 0.94 cast armor modifier resulting in 172mm LOS armor.
It should be at least ~180mm @ 23° plus the 0.94 cast armor modifier resulting in 184.16mm LOS armor.
The turret is missing it’s internal armor wall around the gun (88.9mm thick) like the T54E1 currently has in game. The area around the gun or also known as Locking Nut is also incorrect, it should be ~146.05mm thick.
Perhaps converting it to volumetric armor could fix this issue.
There’s more issues with the turret armor, but that’s it for now.
Seems like the turret gap is correct, according to your photos.
There’s only gaps in the sides for the fuel tank caps, in the middle area the engine deck and turret ring are connected.
Slow is good, gives you the ability to shoot behind ridgelines. And for anything else u go HEAT.
This tank at 8.0 with this reload is a fucking Joke. It needs to get into higher BR but at the Same time its armor will get negated there…
theres literly only one way to fix it and that is to give it a reload that is not fucking 3.8 seconds…
That spot is only visible if the T58 is not using any gun depression, thanks to the swing turret it will hide it by default when aiming down.
dont worry, it will propably be fixed to its correct 2.6s reload.
they can give it access to AP, HE and SMOKE shells too.

You got me on the SAV. The rest are auto cannons technically.
Turm III is 9.0 material, it’s a mystery it isn’t 8.7 or 9.0 material.
In terms of sheer size though, no other tank even comes close to its reload for a 155mm or similar.
imagine a big ass, slow ass conventional heavy with no stab fighting leopard 2s that it cant pen.
10.7 is unrealistic, 8.7 is feasible.

It’s a heavy tank, with the largest cannon that loads the fastest in game. The T58 will be reliable against T-72As.
At least the SAV is very easy to kill, and isn’t able to kill things 1.7 br above it with ease.
Meanwhile the T58 breaks the whole mold.
Best case scenario they get their act together and either nerf its reload, or give it a proper br for that reload.
Worst case scenario, it stays 8.0 / 8.3 and people abuse it so bad it goes up in br pretty much overnight.
