Pre-order: T58

While it is true that majority of suggestion votes end up leaning in favor of tech tree by default , I still think T58 is an unfortunate choice of premium vehicle.

Unique tanks shouldn’t be premium. Premiums should be reskins or light modifications of things you already can get in the tech tree. Examples of this are: M1 KVT, Wolfpack, Type 74 Red Star, Leopard 2 (PzBtl 123) etc.

I think this is one of the reasons why the 3-pack premiums was so well received. They offer premium bonuses without locking unique things away behind a paywall. There should be some oscillating turret tanks in the tech tree, and not just premium.

It being a unique, one of a kind, rare prototype is even stronger of a reason why you should be able to research it. Why else do you research a US technology tree if not for US technology?

you guys cant even make a proper thumbnail for a 50 buck pack

America collects premiums like middle schoolers collect Pokémon cards atp.

“Why are American players so bad?” idk they get premiums every update it feels like and people die and leave. Its SUPER efficient for the team.

Not every tt needs a damn heavy

Extremely late to have added this to the game…

And another premium for USA for Rank V…

And $50? That thing isn’t even worth $30.

Also, where’s the tech tree vehicles for the coming update? Are we even getting any?

All the interesting vehicles costing a fat stacks of dosh is about on par of what I expect at this point, immeasurably disappointed 🫠

Feel this way about the Qing-6 too, so gutted.

Apparently so according to Tank Encyclopaedia - or at least that was the proposal:

I can’t think of a physical reason why it couldn’t shoot kinetic rounds if developed - but perhaps they just never were.

There’s a DTIC document on the general characteristics of the tank and gun - doesn’t specifically mention ammo types available tho’ - https://apps.dtic.mil/sti/tr/pdf/AD0395259.pdf

Basically, yeah. There were of course 155mm kinetic shells of various types in service. But the T180 was a low-pressure, low-velocity gun so that it wouldn’t explode at its insane 23rpm RoF. At this low velocity kinetic shells wouldn’t be nearly as effective as chemical ones, and this was at the peak of HEAT-FS popularity, so why bother developing inferior kinetic munitions?

Is the pre order available on console?

if I had to guess. no

will it be available for console at least?

It seems likely yes. But I honestly don’t know if anything is available for preorder on console.

fair enough thank you

???

Looks pretty non-fictional to me…

Will the T58 heavy tank receive its historical 2.6-second reload for the autoloader?

If the Type 10 main battle tank can’t be used in its full potential of 2-seconds long reload speed stationary, what do you think? As said before reload time is more of a balancing resource and it’s far from being accurate in most vehicles either automatic loaded or manual loaded.

Where does that come from?

ETA: I see it is mentioned in the suggestion thread from way back - but it isn’t in any of hte on-line links provided supporting the suggestion -

Does it say 23 rpm anywhere?

Yes - in that 2023 thread it says it twice - but not where the figure comes from - it is not in any of the sources linked, but might be from the book that doesn’t have a link?

It also applies only to the auto-loader of course - so you get 23 rpm for about 15 seconds :)
