It was already better than the US 18C(early) while at the same BR. Giving it AIM-9P-5 should give Gaijin enough reason to move it to 13.0.

F/A-18 BRs are kind of a mess tbh, the main difference between the F/A-18A and C (early) is the addition of AIM-7Ps which is worth an entire BR step apparently. Then there’s the Swiss C (early) which gets the better engines and radar but its still 12.7.

People unironically want IRCCM missiles at 12.7? If it will get P-5 it will be instantly placed at 13.0 where you will get you nice full uptier lobbies into Rafale
Not only that, but on the dev the Swiss 18C(early) also had 120 countermeasures compared to the 60 on the US 18C(early).
Not sure if that changed on the second dev though.

It’s confusing because halfway through the production of the C they introduced a significant number of changes. The early production Cs were fairly similar to the A model, except for some structural changes and some digital avionics.
The Swiss F/A-18 are late production Cs, so they have the upgraded radar, engines and countermeasures while the US C (early) is early production one. The US C (late) is a late production one like the Swiss Hornets.

Oh yeah I’m not advocating to reduce it. I’m saying either up the US 18C(early) countermeasures to 120 as well or give the Swiss one 9P-5 and yeet it up to 13.0.
If only Gaijin had a way to decompress BRs so that the 18A, US 18C(early), Swiss 18C(early) and General 18C(late) could all be at different BRs without the first 3 seeing top tier.
But I guess we will never find out what that would be like lol.

The best option in my view would be to move the current top tier to 14.3, give the early Swiss Hornet AIM-9P-5 and move it to 13.0 and also give the F/A-18A the AIM-7P and move it to 12.7 with the US C (early) so it’s fighting less Phantoms and MiG-21s/23s.

Going up in BR because you get access to better fox2 isn’t worth it. You are getting pushed deeper and deeper into a BVR meta without fox3 and the same fox1. People complain about the german mig29 but I’d rather have r60 and be 12.7 where im clubbing way harder with the 2 good missiles I do have instead of trying to get within 2km of something in 13.x matches to actually leverage the r73.
MM at 13.0 is also considerably worse than 12.7 based on statshark data, and 12.7 isn’t the best either. 14.3 might help but 12.7 would probably turn into a great BR and 13.0 where 12.7 is now.
Lmao 18C early is IMO on the very edge of 12.7 planes and with 9Ms it should go to 13.0.

as someone who has spent alot and has alot of premium jets, its just annoying since it doenst give me anything to do. I just get to spend more money to use another jet that ive already got.
F-2A ADTW looks cool, but at 13.0 its just a different JAS39A with a better radar but worse flight model
Sniper is pointless in its current form. Genuinely makes the 29SMT look like a unique and interesting play.
F/A-18C swiss is just the old “its a premium, its better then an already existing premium but not different enought to make anyone buy it again”
only thing i brought this update was the L-39ZA, which will be pointless but fun in customs
