Because if the f14A iraf or even if they add f14AM into the Russian tech tree I can tell you now the forums will be filled with multiple Russian aircraft that the USA PURCHASED that could go into the USA tech tree mig17 MiG 21 MiG 23 MiG 29 and I think a few others that I’m probably missing

The D was given newer and better DL systems like Link 16 and was the plane that conducted AIM-7P trials

Hi - Air Arcade player here - what stronger opponents can it actually face with 9M’s huh?
Because of how matchmaking works in Arcade - my F-14B if I play a match at 12.7 gets hammered by 14.0 planes pulled down to 13.7 matchmaking, and I assure you - they aren’t researching stuff on those planes. Oh what - the 14.3’s? Last I heard if MM takes too long it can kick up out of +/-1 which unless you put in hardcoded that it will never exceed +/-1 the 14.3’s that pull their planes down to 14.0 matchmaking can be seen. And the only reason I don’t see them, is that I have my 14B currently in a lineup to pull it down to 12.3 so that matchmaking bites slightly less. I say slightly, because I still encounter 13.7’s, like the F-15C MSIP II which heavily outguns me with 8x AMRAAM’s, or the Su-30 MKK and MK2 AMV’s those players are pulling down to 13.0 matchmaking so I see them a lot, oh, and the MiG-29N, at 13.0, that is routinely pulled down to 12.7 matchmaking, with 6x export R-77’s - and there is no map where I can even try and take advantage of the range difference, so it’s basically a Mach 4 missile with 50G overload vs a Mach 4.3 with 17G’s - guess which one wins and if you need a hint, it’s the one with the higher G rating. Oh, right and if for some insane reason, they don’t want to just take 6 RVV’s and instead take IR missiles - they get access to the R73E which is a all aspect IRCCM missile.
AIM-54’s don’t even come close to being good in Arcade, they are at best a joke, unless the other player is in a bomber or prop plane, it’s basically a test of whether or not your paying attention cause the only things it hits besides prop planes and bombers, is players not paying attention who just fly straight in to it. The F-14A and B need to move down in BR, if you seriously are going through with the nonsense that is adding the F-14D as is in this condition - you need to move it down in BR with them, cause it’s not competitive, it’s not even close to competitive, it does not have the performance or weapons to hang out at the BR it currently does. Just like the F-2A ADTW and other pre-AMRAAM type FOX-3 aircraft being added planes where the BR made sense back then, but no more. The F-14B - which has the same damn weapons and BR, already sees most of, if not all of, the best fighters in this game in it’s matchmaking BR, least on the Arcade end.

It seems they go off airframes and which nation gave them to the (subtree?ish) nation operator tree, tbh.
I do think the IRIAF should stay with the US, but it should also have historical armaments and not the R-27s it could never fire off.
It’s obnoxious, they could’ve just had historic armaments and had the premium version be a reskin, but they clearly only put in half the effort and instead we have this weird fake F-14D as a premium only…

I mean it would be still worse in every single aspect, and I’m not talking about IRIAF, C.10 would be probably better even though it carries 4 derbys lmao.
Could we at least get a proper COMPATIBLE phoenix on a D variant, cuz like out of all things it couldn’t use usual AIM-54s?

I don’t know why they won’t us have the a120’s and aim9m but this pack won’t sell well without it. Plus why not let the community try it out at 13.3 and 13.7 with am120’s with aim9m’s to see if they are ok with it going up in br.
Your all ready going to be fighting 13.0. 13.3 13.7 And 14.0 with it at 13.0 so why not?

Probably cause then they eat their words about having the best version of a vehicle as a premium rather then a TT. Although this already is with the better radar so why not go full bore idk.
