I find it wild people trying to say people who didn’t buy the f14D are being award now even though they couldn’t give a full review of the plane since they don’t own it and only say what the people who do own it and those who argue about the way the TT f14D is being implemented who bought the F14D are toxic because they wanted/expected a different TT F14D variant that wouldn’t devalue their purchase btw you practically already admitted to the “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” when you said because you didnt buy till they did what you wanted it’s not really a show of good will like you think it is
Theirs a suggestion form open since the day the premiums f14D got introduced saying the f14D(r) should be in the tech tree and a poll that it should have aim120A or even at least aim7p and has 300-360 votes
I’m quite curious, when he said these words and made these promises, what were the other administrators or moderators in your community doing? Why did they allow his promises to circulate within the community?
It might be a good idea to have distinctions between developers then, right now players will see the “developer” tag and assume that X person is part of the game dev team.
Some distinction between groups of developers would mean players have a clearer idea of what kind of role the person they are talking to has.
This has already been rejected a gazillion times because no F-14D ever tested AMRAAMs. The testbed was a F-14A so even though it would theoretically have only taken a software update to integrate the 120 to the F-14D, it’s a no for them
Bruh at this point people best take out documents to prove it was the f14A-65 that tested it in 1995-2000 and not a more believable NF14B(U) or Nf14D last time I checked All of them point to the f14D is the only one supposed to only receive AMRAAMs. The only thing we know f14A-65 was to confirm if the f14 airframe can drop/fire AMRAAMs for the f14C than the f14D
Nah don’t reflect answer the question and you know I can show you more proof that a f14 did Amraam testing in 1985-1989 and that the apg71 was the radar that was supposed to make this possible witch can only be found in the f14D or a-3 test aircraft also witch nf14D were available at the time can you prove a f14A-65 had a apg71 radar or even the full digital suit to work with AMRAAMs because it high know the ONLY thing production vehicles needed was a software update. But fr answer the question do you have any documentation that proves that it was specifically a f14A-65 that tested it because In all documents 1985-1997 say f14 and dosent specify like yall do btw iirc those f14A-65 w/amraams photos were taken in 1981

Sidegrade , with way better radar, IRST and 54C+ that will have to change to better than 54C in the future as the game inserts more complex things (for example if you make ECM in the future, C+ MUST have way better ECCM because it’s the feat of the missile, plus a lot of things are different between the missiles if you go to more accurate and complex level)…
It’s not sidegrade, it’s just the same plane but better . And as you may add more complex things to the game, it will be even better.
Same as i said with 54C and C+ , all you need is ECM and APG-71 will be a whole other class than AWG-9 for ECCM, add jamming and the difference will be abyssmal.
Especially when you throw money , you’d need some “future proof” quality… and comparing with 14B , the 14D is way more futureproof.
So even now without all that, the 14D is just better plane/platform and in the future it will be abyssmaly better.
That’s not what “sidegrade” means.
You won’t ever lose something in 14D to equalize with 14B. You’ll always have the better plane with 14D.

it literally fired it doesnt mean it guided it the D never even fired one so high doubts they did it the test later with a diffrerent plane and unless you can find documentation stating a F14D was used to test it which is not the case right now then it wont happen
also who knows what work was done to this airframe only telling thing would be its service catalogue which im not digging for as it was a test bed like its predecessors

Also why would the f14D need to fire it if the usn already completed AMRAAMs testing with it and successfully passed it just didn’t enter service with the f14D
