Pre-order: Battleships USS Maryland and HMS Nelson

Yeah… I was actually considering getting it, as I was reading the dev blog and saw those wonderful renders- but the excessive price tag of 80€ and knowing that it would have to face 8.7s, including and specially Soyuz, drove me away entirely.

and I dont think its enough of an upgrade over Rodney to justify getting it on that basis either

atleast for me it does the job for grinding naval, cause im only at the start of rank 4, and would pair with the Barham (the event for that I 50% grinded only for the PFP that we both currently use too)

if only the Profile Picture was a permanent part of that pack, cause i’d definetly get it on a sale

Especially as its out most famous and celebrated admiral, putting it behind a hefty paywall is too much, its on the same level as placing a PFP of Admiral Tirpitz behind a paywall, or Halsey,

people like Monty, Zhukov, Patton and MacArthur being placed behind battlepasses or Pages of history is bad enough, and the upcoming Mackensen PFP is also bad enough.

even if its not ideal cause of consoles they should atleast be marketplace… like other PFPs

Yeah. I cant afford it now, but might be able to even at full price in a few months.

So its a shame if the Profile Pic is locked behind pre-order only.

And yeah, for you it would have quite a decent value as a grinder. Rodney is quite good fun I’ve found.

I want this (Nelson) so bad but I’ve got nothing to grind with it. I hope a KGV is added with it to make it worth buying.

Really not worth the price.

So, Nelson is after refit - removed torpedo tubes (and torpedoes), while increased deck armor in forward area. Will this be implemented? Radars? Will be the lack of anti-torpedo protection finally fix?
I’m afraid not - this is Gaijin, so cannot expect correct model…

Lots of comments on HMS Nelson, but how about USS Maryland?
Would she potentially be a good grinder for US rank VI if you haven’t started the rank yet?
Not so much posts/vidoes on USS Colorado either…anyone that has her would give some insights on today’s meta?

Explodes well. Even too well.
I do not recommend it.

How far away are you from 99,99$ macrotransactions gaijin?

That’s any American battleship

Yes.
But in this case there is a nuance. This one-shot **** costs 80 bucks.

If there were North Carolina or South Dakota, at least you could play around with maneuvers and distances there. And think about buying them for 80 bucks.
Colorado to hell.

time for Gaijin to ask themselves if the unbalanced Soyuz caused boosted Russian premium sales are worth the sales reductions in other nations, caused by customer reluctance to be xp pinnatas for the Soyuz, at the premium price of 80$.

$80 each … wtf??? sigh… I’m sure there are some will buy them, but not me.

I’d buy the Nelson for nostalgia reasons (Navyfield), but then I’d probably hardly play it.

Not to mention - Gaijin hasn’t heard of supply / demand. Naval doesn’t have the playerbase to be trying to sell premiums for that sort of dollar bills.

I think it’s sorta the opposite in this case. The models for such big ships are expensive and time consuming to produce. In a sense the previous update was a gamble to try and kick some more life into naval imho. What’s a good way of absorbing at least part of the cost of that gamble? Sell premiums at a high unitary value because the people who really want these big old BBs will definitely shell out 80 bucks, and the rest of the naval playerbase is not big enough to compensate for lower unitary cost with sale volume.
