These days, now we’ve had overhauled damage models and true competitors, scharn is fine, but honestly. She should have come this year not 2 years ago. She and she alone is the reason I basically stuck with 5.7 or lower and not top tier. It’s only really been since end of last year, especially with the new 7.0s for Britain, that I’ve dared try 7.0 again and start to enjoy it more

yeah 11 inches have good pen but ZERO explosive mass which is annoying
I still see them do more than enough damage, I guess it’s all about where you aim

i aim under the turrets and i go through armor but never get ammo so silly
These days, aiming for the turret/turret towers is just as valuable a target because of the fire propagation mechanics
It may not have been the only factor, but it WAS a large factor, I was still getting games that where mostly players and very few bots when Scharnhorst was added, now I’m lucky if there are more than 3 players per side in a match. I quite naval myself for over a year over it and only started playing naval again after the damage changes made Scharnhorst killable.

Without the Iowa and/or South Dakota classes, along with the Yamato to balance these monsters out, this is going to be a complete OP sh*t-show. Every 12 year old armed with Daddies money is going to spam the Naval matches. With the trees still over compressed, the AI overpowered, the USN ROF & accuracy over nerfed and now with these Premium nightmares, Naval will be unplayable unless you have one. Ergo there will be only two ships used in the game - these.

So I’ve decided to buy the Gneisenau, is there any news on whether or not we’ll be able to swap the 38cm for the 28.3cm?
I’d buy it if there would be a 28cm setup. I fear these 38cm guns might have too long reload rates. Thats an issue. You’re usualy better of with rapid firing guns, as long as they’re not too weak.
that’s how I feel. I’m worried about that (I also prefer the look of the three gun turrets) but I also want to get into naval more… and if I get the pre order I can buy the Zwilling too. That’s if I receive the GE straight away. Can anyone confirm if you do or don’t?

Assuming you wont get a choice of gun. Id wait and see what reload rate they give Gne. It should be 60-70 seconds if they were to set it to IRL performance but Gaijin being Gaijin. Who knows
I don’t care about the reload I just want the ship tbh. I love the Gneisenau she’s one of my favourite ships. I would have gotten the Prinz Eugen if I could have but I never could. Do you know if upon purchasing pre orders the GE and premium time is immediately active?
