Sachsen in 1916. Unlike some of the other projects it was almost finished. Already christened , launched and most crititcal systems installed. Political reasons delayed comission until the war ended (More submarines instead BB etc.)
Especially since the guns would have had to be delivered by Ru’s arch enemy. Absolutely unlikely to ever have had happened. Even impossible to imagine Germany would have delivered these 38cm guns.
Its the biggest stretch in any war-related computer game, ever. Thats a true Gajin.
And that after binning basically half the german destroyer force at narvik and embarassing the italian navy at calabria and matapan.
Oh and care to mention those bombs earlier destroyed the Battleship Roma and severly crippled the cruiser USS Savannah. I know you didnt mention their name, likley since they were so ineffective and had increadibly high attrition rate with KG 3 suffering 60% losses in September 1943 alone IRL. With Warspite only suffering 9 killed 14 wounded during the attack
You forgot to mentioned the very ship that being relevant to this thread, Gneisenau, which was doomed by a single bomb sealing her fate to never be sailing as a warship again :D
The rules for naval are very publicly different to those in other modes. Ships construction and development is a much longer and drawn out process. I think this rule is a positive for many smaller nations in game.
The issue here is how glaringly OP scharnhorst klasse ships are even despite the damage rework now they’re very strong maybe not OP if you can pen then. I do agree with your point just not your analysis.
This also isn’t @HK_Reporter ’s choice he is just providing valuable insight into the mechanics and workings of Naval. Him and @Magiaconatus are some of the few naval orientated mods so best to value their insight.
TBH, the 38 cm Gneisenau wouldn’t bothered me this much if it was tech tree vehicle, but since they are locking it behind paywall, that’s basically gatekeeping the semi-unique stuff. Same goes to Sevastopol especially since the Soviet is severely lacking in actual domestic capital ships.
I don’t think it’s something likely to come anytime soon. By the way the premium Gneisenau we got have plenty of visual alternations besides the planned 38cm guns. For example the forward superstructure was quite different than the historical one, and the main mast was moved backwards like the Scharnhorst while historically Gneisenau had her main mast fitted over the funnel. If the historical version ever to come I think it’s most likely to be an individual vehicle.
So you basically tossed the data to prove your point and refused to show what you asked. Quite a tendentious don’t you think. You stated one thing that new aiming caused player drop and can’t proof it. That is all those treads is all about, people who disappointed in new system of aiming trying to convince bystanders that we all doomed, when those who play keep on playing and don’t care about your rant, that just pathetic.
