havent seen this view before, from inner mongolia, ZTZ-99 with desert paint in the back possibly the same one seen with modified engine deck a while ago, and in the front is the well-known VT-4 with new protection kit, you can also see the different upper front plate ERA layout and gun mantlet cover

not really. this is basically similar as AIM-120, not so good, just better missile maneuverability.
I still prefer LY-70, 40km AMRAAM-ER equal missile, and 3 vehicles can provides huge number of missiles.

Unfortunately, it only has four missiles per vehicle (instead of at least eight for other SAMs).

Why would they? I thought they already have plenty platforms to mount 105-mm gun and BMP-3 can be replaced by ZBD04.
Or is this some prototype?
Maybe option/modernization for export?
that time, import BMP3 is a optional choice, so China gets some, and even after ZBD-04 is decided, the remaining BMP-3 can still work as test platform.
and to be honest, they are way too frugal, one of the test platforms they still and possibly most using is a ZTS-63

Clarifying the Type 62 variants? So does anyone can clarify the variants of the type 62? From my understanding it goes:
Type 62 base model(in game)
V
Type 62-I added LSRF/protection for commander
V
Type 62G new turret, gun and smoke launchers
But between all of that there’s this type 62 that I see being referred as “Type 70”:
Is been suggested before but it was labeled simply as a Type 62-I but I’m curious to know what is it supposedly it has the same 85mm gun as the ZTS-63, LSRF, smoke grenades and a stabilizer but searching about variants is kinda confusing anyone has more concrete info?
