Why wont it let me post in forums if I havent played enough recently? Since when has this been a thing? Its absurd!
Since the forum opened.
clearly you managed to get over it.
and to avoid people opening spam threads or simply saying stupid things about things you haven’t even tried, it should be like this I imagine…
Forums are not part of the game they have their own system.
Few weeks ago I played only 1 or 2 battles.
Then I wanted to send PM to one of technical moderatora after I posted in one of the topics.
And with that one post I have reached the limit. Couldn’t even send PM to a mod xD.
We got this system since 2015
2015? i thought the WT forums were older than that?.
As far as I remember, first one was established in 2012?
Still, we implemented this filter in 2015.
Huh neato.
Exactly! I never knew this was a thing cause I used to play more often…
And if someone takes a break from playing, then comes back and has questions, they cant make a post to ask other players…
If you have technical issue, you can post in Technical Section.
If you have question on game, play few battle and ask.
It helps reduce the amount of spam post. They still pop up from time to time but if they have to download, install and play a match to be able to post there spam just to be deleted in a short time it can keep some spammers away.
( this is all just my opinion dont know for sure )
This “inactivity” system does not work.
We have several players with “play pauses” for months and they still post in the forum, it looks like that non-MP relevant playing (locked custom battles, campaigns) might be considered as activity too.
So if this system was aimed to connect the game (basically a MMO) with the forum (with focus on player exchange) - i am not sure why just new forum participants have limited / restricted access.
A small recommendation:
Almost daily you see “please unban me” posts (offensive gamertags) popping up - if you reward players with a small bonus (like 50 GE or 5.000 SL) if they just write a PM to a kind of “collective PM address” (should be worth to think about) and do not create a forum post you might get rid of a lot of traffic with a rather small effort…
Can you imagine the volume of “This game sucks!” there would be without it? lol
This is all very interesting to me. I guess I had just always played enough to where it was never a problem. and just didnt know it existed. But as an adult having more responsibilities, I have less time for gaming.
