Some days ago, while playing the Seversk-13 map, I tried to shoot an enemy, and the round just disappeared. At first I was very confused: “Why did my round not hit? Not even a hit marker when the enemy is in my scope?”
Then a second thought crossed my mind: “Wait, weren’t there supposed to be some stands right were I shot?”. And there were. Well, apparently they are still there.
Here are some prints I took upon further investigation. Fortunately, I was able to replicate the conditions of my first encounter with this situation.
As you can see, while not using the sights, the stands are not visible, but once you scope in, they appear again. I am this far from the stands because when you come closer, they reappear.
Is this a problem with the game or from my configuration?
Hello,
It might just be the draw distance
You can try increasing the Tree range since it is basically the setting that controls LOD, and see if it makes any difference
Just tested increasing the Tree range, to the same result… Those stands just keep disappearing, but as soon as I use the scope or binnoculars, they pop back up.
Okay, I can see the stands from a certain position while zoomed in (commander view, as shown in the print), and not in the default view.
Also, I can only see some lamp posts while not zoomed in, a couple more in commander view, and every - or almost every - lamp post in that specific street.
This could be some rendering issue I am having, but cannot pinpoint the exact setting…
PS: I definetly can conclude it is a rendering problem on my part. Still, I opened a bug report for this in the case this same problem can affect other players.
